Waht compiled you suing? And what RAD settings? Might be worth messing with fade and dscale as your light placement looks reasonable enoguh. May want to inject some more colour into them though.

Depends on how you filter your news. If you don't really care about sports, you're not going to notice it, likewise entertainment news or whatever.
My main source is the beeb and on the front page they tend to carry major storys from each subsection on the front page. Tech news appears reguarly, but doesn't by any means dominate.

Undersating, for me at least, was always way easier than learning things. Did a lot better in all the exams that relied on understanding rather than retaining facts and stats. Back in the days of my a-levels my grades varied wildly between as and es depending on how the exams were structured. Uni was a good deal easier in that respect and you can get away with blagging things a bit more and with comp sci it's a lot more based on practical work. Turning up blind drunk to some exams was probably not a good strategy though.

The MP demo of FEAR has totally put me off it. The SP may be amazing, but the level design was bumk, the controls clunky and guns dissapointing. I might get Quake 4. Possibly. Pro Evo 5 is vvverrryy tempting though. I soddding love the PES series. COD2 tickled me a bit as well. Before any of that, I need a new mouse and to fix my car. Can't decide between logitech g5 & g7. hrmm

I.m singularly awful at studying. I can't ever remember shit about details, facts of figures.

Played some of them, just can't remember the bloody names.

Due to the work schedules of my flatmate, we're having our party a week early. It's not even really a Halloween party. There are costumes and there will be karaoke. That much I know. Booze and narcotics as well. Should be pretty entertaining.

Shaping up very nicely now.

Very Nice.
Maybe some blueish lighting as well?
Current look is good, not too cluttered, understated, but plenty of detail.

The distortion on that makes it look like metal. Battered looking galvanised steel would look about right IMO. There's plenty of that in tower blocks etc

The thing that always astounds me about him is that he fails to realise that themajority of people on the internet regard him as a total prick with hte intellectual credibility of pondlife, which when you consider the average internet IQ is pretty astounding.

Lack of order? Looks very thrown together.Bunch of disparate obkects in apparently random positions for no reason?
Lighting and burshwork good, but it looks very disconnected and somewaht random at the mo.

Yeah, I thought it was clunky and uninspiring TBH.

s'true enough in many ways.
I guess if I cared about games enough, I'd have spent time mapping/modelling rather than drinking and pissing aroud. Equallly, I'd be sat here working on something rather than posting this and necking Carlsber Export. However, I do disagree to a point with his comments on Indie games. The problem there is due more to a talent/time/idea imbalance than one revolving around lack of effort.
Plenty of people have good to great ideas and have one or more important skills. The reason for these projects failing comes down (generally) to a lack of coders and animators. You can make a beta without any art assets (just about) but coders are fucking gold dust. You generally needn't worry about 3d modelers, 2d artists and level designers, they're ten a penny compared to coders and if you know a good one, you're guaranteed a good bit of promom art.
In my (reasonably limited) experience with mod/game development, it's always coder driven. If Jimbob C++ want a game made, it's gonna happen, getting art assets is the leats of his worries. The game conceived by Billy-Ray Hammer Editors ain't gonna happen. He can know 4 modelers, 2 texture artists and a whole ton of Sean-Paul Hammer Editors, but if he hasn;t got a coder, his ideas gonna sink like a fat chick on the Titanic.

I'd enjoy the movie like feel more if it actually felt like I was in control. In the kong bits I felt I should have died at least three or four times, but I never did, it was just so.. hgngh Words fail me.

Steven Spielberg used his vast fortune to build a time machine so he could go back and make it look like there were Dinos so he and Michael Critchton could make a fuckton outta Jurassic Park.
Which is about as plausible a theory as intelligent design. So there.

Quote from Bic-B@ll
it was seriously 5ft high? you had to duck whenever you were standing? or are you a shorty?
no pics of my place cause its still shitty outoh yeah, twas fricking tiny in there and very bloody cold in the depths of January, I had very item of clothing and bedding I owned packed in and around me to try and keep the heat in.
If I didn't know better, I'd say that the bottel there was the chesy corner shop voddy that you get in this country in a wee plastic bottle, Price Consort or whatever.

Our places till looks a little bare. Need to get ze posters on the go. Alas, all I have is crappy ones from my student days.
Renos box table reminds of when I lived in Canada and we had the pikiest furniture ever. I slept in the basement in a room that was about 5ft high. No furniture in there at all, everything went on the floor. I, unsuprisingly, lost a lot of stuff. The living room had two sofas that we'd gotten 'free' and the rest of the furniture was made of bricks and wood. And our heating kept breaking. Good times...

It didn't really feel as if I waws in control as Kong, which was quite annoying. It just bounced me from one bit to the next, I mashed some mouse button and that was that. TOok me all of tne mins to play through both segments (mostly because of the horrid controls when you're Jack). It was kinda cool, but very short lived and with little of the interactivity or freedom that I associate with games.

Bonnet could do with some optimisation, otherwise the model is sound. Yeah, sort the lighting and get some spec maps etc on there and you're good to go.
