I use a Wacom Graphire and it's great. Wacom is pretty much the first place to go I think in terms of drawing tables.

Think of it this way, the sooner you upgrade the sooner you can stop having a portfolio full of images from a game over 10 years old to show potential employers

My setup is an AMD x2 dual core 6000+ (Brilliantly cheap and far better than intels offering if you ask me) 8800 GTX 768 nforce mobo 2gb ram and 500gb hard drive. This will last me for ages. Plus the having a pci motherboard now I can upgrade bits on the go at last.
