eh eh, that's it guys, another year had just passed by...

2007 has been a great year for gaming, and I'd wanna year from you guys, what have you achieved in 2007, and what do you intend to achieve in 2008, and what are your new year resolutions?

    on 2007,

    Professionaly,

I'm finally working on games! 6 years struggling to get into the industry had just paid off, and I am now part of the most beautiful and joyful industry in this world, gaming industry!

Although It's a small company, making games for NintendoDS is being a great and productive experience.

    Personaly,

Well, I have a beautiful girlfriend, I now have a salary to live my life the way I see fit, and I'm feeling happier than ever!

    For 2008,

professionaly, I intend to finish this 2 games we are working on, so we can get started on PS3 dev.

Also, on my free times, I wanna make a couple of nice maps for Crysis And UT3.

Personaly, I just wanna continue the way I am, living slowly and happy!

    Ok I begin.

    Profesionally:

U know, I achieved so much, I got so much new information about making maps and my own work with my maps.. all this helped enormously.. In last time I have not mapped for perhaps 2 months now, but not because I am tired of it but because I do music creating stuff professionally with Fruity loops and REASON. And that requires a lot of time of course.. I do not know mapping is paused now. I only got two serious projects .. Moreover, I do not work for any mod because I did not found any, but the thing is that I have tried to apply to bms (blackmesasource) this year but was never applied. That is it about that.

    Personally:

I bought much new, new GPU, soundcard. I am very busy with the uni-work. I got a lot of project there, and I have not learned yet how to use the time LoL.. I want to do everything on the same day but I cannot.

Personally, I have been out with friends ALOT, a lot, being on sum party and had fun. then met some nice girls yo and got into a good relegation with one. heh

what I WILL DO: continue my work with uni and music production and perhaps level design. and try to game less, because honestly I am stuck wittiest gaming and I know u should not play so much. besides that, when u know games like Crysis u cant stop yourself.

2007 has been a great year. I learned so many new things and improved my skills. Personally, I think I changed a lot in the way I see things.

year started meh. unemployed and sick for months. But it gave me enough time to work on my portfolio.

In summer things started to get better. I was healthy again and Insurgency finaly was released. This gave me the motivation boost to change something in my life towards a more positive direction.

I applied at Grin and got accepted. Now i live in a awesome city and work in a awesome company together with awesome people. It couldn't get much better. A nice gf would make it perfect. To find one is my mission for 2008 i guess.

It's been a year of ups and downs for me, professionally. I can't really talk too much about the job side of things but suffice to say things were not good for a significant part of the year. Gladly things worked out well though, and with everything back on track I'm really enjoying it again. I work with a great bunch of folks, in a nice office, earning decent pay, and getting a lot of creative input. Can't really ask for much more than that to be honest!

On a personal note, things have also been up and down. Had a string of short lived relationships, and when it isn't you calling them short it can be a bit of a confidence hit. That said, the fact I've managed to find other ladies to get involved with each time is an improvement on how things were in the past I guess I'm a bit more confident in that area than I used to be. I moved out of my parents house and into a flat with some mates during the autumn, and I'm really enjoying having my own space. Just unfortunate that they are a bunch of skint students and I'm earning decent money, as it typically means I'm the one left paying for half the stuff they can't afford! Shoulda seen it coming really.

Hopes for 2008? Well I'm pretty satisfied with my life just now, but I guess I'd like to start going out a bit more and meeting more people. Particularly attractive young ladies

    2007:

professionally: nothing at all. given up is the most noticeable thing.

school: finished with "basic" education, onto maybe uni or something in a while.

    personal: got a lovely girlfriend

    2008:

    personal:

    go to the army

    drink more

    travel

    (I have no professional\school plans for 2008)

Isn't the Army kind of the last stop for a man with no other talents or desires in life? I mean, signing up to be killed seems like it.

well, it's conscript duty, 1 year. mandatory if they first want you.

just like Sweden and such. I won't be going anywhere out of Norway, maybe just Sweden and Finland for booze.

Horrible law indeed, we used to have that in Portugal, but nowadays only those guys who really wanna go, they go... it's not obligatory!

    2007:

    Professionally:

Finally got into uni and can start doing what I want to do. I've got my demo(music) done and ready for recording. Got a new amplifier and have begun doing some work on a black metal project as well. Moved away from home and into a dorm. It's rather nice, since it provides a lot of social experience, and well, it's packed with a bunch of nice people, so I'm feeling rather comfortable here

    Personally:

Been a bit up and down, though mostly up, I suppose. Guess this is where I'll have to improve next year. I've been really bad at maintaining proper sleep cycles and making sure to do my homework asap instead of wasting my entire week thinking about it and then stressing the day before I have to turn it in. Though that's improved a bit the past month or so. Relationships.. Just... Don't work... Think I'm gonna wait a bit with that. Perhaps early in the new year, if I ever get the time for it.

    2008:

    Professionally:

Keep on track with uni, start recording my demo. Maybe begin mapping again. It's been too much on/off due to the time it consumes. Somewhere down the line, I'll apply for an internship somewhere, maybe. Though I might wait a bit longer with that. Perhaps 2009

    Personal:

    Keep on track.

    Keep avoiding the army.

Do something more about my drawing and writing.
