Ok, using the tutorials that Phlek gave, what must I add so the program saves the contents of an ArrayList in the file instead of a given text?

I hate the repetiveness of HL2 water, the fact that it leaves an ugly shoreline border without waves and that it looks like a giant rectangle breaking the illusion of a never ending sea.

There's a way to add waves on the shorelines, I think.

With some mist you get an illusion of a never ending sea.

I just saw the XBOX 360 party on MTV and...

    I'm SO unimpressed!

I mean 1% of the whole show was about xbox and the games they showed looked absolutely crappy! No wonder they didn't show more than that.

I have this java programming project in school and one of the things my program must be capable of doing is to save info from an ArrayList to a TXT file and vice versa.

I'm kinda noobish at this stuff so if anyone has experience in java programming, could you give me a hand and perhaps send me an example of how it's done?

    Thanks.

I always say "that movie is surely in my top 5" and now I must have about 20 movies in it.

It's almost impossible for me because of the same reasons you just pointed out, but here goes.

    1. Schindler's List

    2. LOTR Trilogy

    3. Braveheart

    4. American History X

    5. Forrest Gump

All of them are fairly new, I know.

It's such a shame to leave out such films as the Indy trilogy, Unbreakable (extremely underrated too), Jurassic Park, Gladiator, Alien 1 & 2, Terminator 2, A Perfect World, A.I., Requiem for a Dream etc....

Jesus you are like one of those "for abstract art" speakers, people who don't like something and suddenly they are idiots.

    I don't recall saying that.

Sure, hate it all you want, I don't care. What I'm trying to say (or tried to say months ago) is that most people will hate that movie for the wrong reasons.

Just out of curiosity, Kosmo, tell me your top 5 movies ever.

I think village wasn't a bad movie becaues they didn't speak normal english, it was just bad by definition that it sucked ass and it wasn't even scary, just like Signs. But back to KOH and Diddlery Scotty, I have never seen a movie with massive fight scenes if we don't count braveheart and LOTRs, I can't imagine what cool is with fast cut scenes and seemingly epic score in the background. How many times can they do that before someone says, maybe we should try something original for a chance, and bad thing about Scotty is that he is not that person.

He directed Alien and Blade Runner and that is it, he has done his good movies and continue making these hollow movies for the rest of his life without anyone saying a bad thing about him in hollywood. One good deed brings you pretty far there. Just look at Ashton Kutcher.

First of all, we have discussed The Village months ago in another thread, so check it out to see why you didn't understand that film and what it was trying to be.

But honestly, there must be something wrong with you if you don't think Gladiator is an exceptional film (you only mentioned Alien and BR).

Oh, and that's a crappy reason to claim that a movie was bad.

That is a bold thing to say. Gladiator has a breath taking score. Especially those parts with Lisa Gerard's vocals are truly heart braking (i.e. the scene where Maximus comes home and finds his dead family).

being a soundtrack nut (scores really, I don't give a flying crap for soundtracks that have the latest bands on them doing their shit music for a movie, unless its music like Blade or such) and just having finished the score, I think it ranks up there. Nothing can really top The Battle and Barbarian Horde, but a lot of the elements in this score just keep going strong.

Yes, I like most of Harry Gregson-Williams' scores and the score in KOH was really good, but I think Zimmer puts a little more soul in his music. I have only seen KOH once and Gladiator maybe 20 times so I can't really compare their scores yet.

BTW, you being a soundtrack nut (like me), have you listened to James Newton Howard's work in The Village (one of the most underrated films ever, by the way). Especially the main theme "The Gravel Road". The violin in it never stops amazing me.

In terms of emotion and movement, this score has more than Gladiator I believe. There is just so much, while Gladiator score has only the First battle and the Barbarian Arena Battle.

Nope. I know you are trying hard and all, but please try a little more and understand what I mean.

I said it is enough not to care about a movie made by him JUST BECAUSE IT IS MADE BY HIM.

Well, it is kinda hard to see what you mean when you write it in such a confusing way.

    Black Hawk Down.

That is enough not to care for his new movie, just because it is made by him.

I havent seen this one, maybe I will sometime though.

Your second and third sentences are not in "harmony", if you know what I mean. This made me think that by "it" you must mean BHD.

But this is totally pointless, so I'll stop now.

Nah you guys should really read the book Black Hawk Down by Mark Bowden, there was alot of things the diddley Riddley Scotty left out, and that must be because he is a money hog YAY!

Sigh... and what movie that was based on a book did have everything in it?
