I wonder if this is just going to be a consolized version of the current CryEngine2 with some added bells and whistles.

Haha yeah. When you're in a hurry you miss a lot of things if you don't keep track of them all.
There are few small details like this that I need to fix for the next patch (for example the lighting and whatnot).
