That's how water towers work. Hydrostatic pressure means taht water stored at a tall height will flow to all the houses nearby correctly.

So the boys got together to celebrate the birth of our dear friend Kami by playing a festive game of kickball. Photography ensues.

If a playable community map comes along, it would be good if Valve took it on, added eye candy, and then made it official. de_russkia for example, a new CPL map looks really poor, but plays very well.
That's the exact point of CPL maps. They're supposed to look like ass. That way nobody can complain the map is lagging them or their computer can't run it. CPL maps aren't supposed to look pretty.

I always like it when "purists" try to deride the fact that digital photos can be so easily manipulated to get different effects out of a shot. Go look at anything Ansel Adams did. He'd sit for hours in his dark room letting his prints expose to light as he held cardboad, cheesecloth, and other stuff in the way of the lamp in order to artifically lighten and darken areas. He was filtering photos long before Photoshop and Picasa.
Plus, if you think Ansel Adams (or any of his generational bretheren) wouldn't have killed for a good Digital SLR that could take thousands of shots of storage on a microdrive that he could take out to the wilderness instead of bulky heavy equipment to get maybe 15 exposures, you're crazy.

Only kills. Lord knows what it would be if it was all violent encounters. The man knocks out more people than Kobe Bryant with a suitcase of rohypnol.

Forum software didn't accept my last category of "More Than 80 Bitches" and won't let me edit it.

Edit: Super-roomate powers fix it again!

That's got a good listing.

Neither, I want a unified format that will acctually succeed. A schism at the marketplace is going to make retailers hesitant to back either format, thus low shelf space and high prices.

Sorry, Mojo, Zalec was put in an orphanage with Backalley. Now it hides outside the kitchen door smoking cigarettes all afternoon.

That guy's a regular Jack Thompson.

My only criticism was that Narby's CPL maps were intended to be very stripped down levels (so that nobody would ever drop a frame because of rendering and complain about it). Also, it made sure every element was deliberate for movement and cover. Thus, a lot of the detailing (like the tables and chairs) seem out of place. If the purpose of the remake were to make it look pretty, good job. But if the purpose is to play in CPL/CAL matches, it seems to be defeating the original purpose by using those objects.

Auto Update for the win. Seriously, there isn't a good reason not to have it on. Windows doesn't have any minor bugs anymore. Every update seems to fix some vulnerability that can toast your machine.

No you don't, that's the whole point, the leak is in the original, Service Pack 1 and 2...
I think RD's point was that if you had Auto Updates on (which I can assume most people on this forum do), you already got the security fix downlaoded back in November. My service log says it came out on November 7th and I had it installed on the 9th.

Is that for Fortress Forever?

Dude, that's the best HL2 mod out there right now.

And you get to move to Sweden, which, as rumor has it, is the home to IKEA.
