haha, more like the worst game. Bad bad ref. I know I complained about the USA-Italy game, but this was sooo worse. 16 cards!? 4 reds? jesus

I find it odd that Group H is playing before Group G :X

they played a crappy first half and only started to play during the final minutes of the first half. If only they carried the intensity from the Italy game over, they might have done better.

It's a good thing, makes teams try if they don't know how the other two teams in the group did.

I don't know why I didn't think about that. Jeez that makes soo much sense.

Tomas Ujfalusi's Red Card in Ghana/Czech was the best I think so far. Since the Ref had this smirk and was just looking directly past probably thinking "You idiot." Wish I could find a picture of that.

    geez what a game

    Quote from hamst3r

Yea. I'm watching it currently, but I blanked out. Did the the reff call a red card for that late tackle?

Italy's red was for an elbow to the face and both USA's were for late tackles, which should have been more yellows than anything else.

They seemed to really slow down at the end - but I imagine being down two players has some influence upon that. It was a good match, I just wish that ref would get hit by a bus. He was calling EVERYTHING in the first half, and absolutely NOTHING in the 2nd. What's that about? The USA will play Ghana next.

well being down 2 men and having to cover their old spots and doing a lot more running will tire you out a lot quicker than when its a full squad.

In terms of the Ref, I think after Pope's red, he slowed it down and was probably told or warned or something. Since he was very inconsistant as you said and calling everything in the beginning and nothing at the end. But isn't it after 3 reds your team is out? I always thought it was, but the announcers never said a thing about it, so I guess those aren't in FIFA rules. I do wish he would have let a lot more of the stuff go in the beginning, but then who knows, maybe Italy woulda done a better job? USA did a good job down a man, maybe Italy woulda rallied and won.

2:30 Eastern / 1:30 Central for US game

Good game between Mexico and Angola. They still have a shot of advancing to the Second Round if Iran wins next game.

    England game was yesterday

I've never played a single Call of Duty game in my life.

The 1st COD was fun and I enjoyed it. I heard many bad things about 2 so I never played it. COD:Big Red One was just awful, I stopped at the second mission and never looked back.

yeah I enjoyed that one. I felt bad for Paraguay but Sweden had a lot more close goals and deserved that game.

nothing too different here (not going to get into it however, you know, working at Gearbox and all). Of course Graphics aren't going to be WOW since on Wii and that article is more just a preview snipet than anything else, but the screens seemed really average.

I didn't see the end of the Sweden and T & T game, when I left it was tied at 0-0, who actaully won?

    tied 0-0.

Ghana was a good game, expected them to atleast tie it or score once with the determination they had, which is something the US appeared to lack.

I'm really dissapointed with the US team's performance. It was like watching a plane crash. Most notably to me, our players failed to get anything started - and let the Czechs beat them back to their side of the field almost every time we took possession of the ball. Combine that with somewhat loose ball control, and no play making... and you have a remarkable Czech victory.

sums up all what I thought. US was just not in it and were just too sloppy and not aggressive enough. Trinidad and Tobago were heavily aggressive even when they were down a man. US needs to get their jitters out if they expect to do better.

we played this here at GBX. 6-7 of us versus bots. Man it was a lot of fun, I took some pictures and will put them up later. But the flow and speed of this map is really great. I shall move it to the SLG and toss the link on the front page when I get a chance (or if someone else beats me)
