Defiantly
QuoteI like how it sort of finished but kept going. Loved (as you said) the ending where it shows the Pillar of Autumn arrive at Halo. I thought the next bit where you have to fight to survive was a little bit muted. I liked the idea but it didn't really feel like a "final last stand". The cinematic final few moments was great as was the voice over...but we never saw the planet get glassed...it just remained green and lush.
Quote from SpicyTanukidoes this game have anything to do with Kinect?
...no. or did i miss the punchline?
Quote from MazyYeah I saw you guys playing, on Normal, really should bump that up to Heroic, especially if you're cooping it
I love the Halo AI, just gives you so much replay value. Just based on core stuff like whether you flank left or right in a fight, or if you've got more people playing, then it'll completely change the way a fight plays out and where it happens in a lot of cases.
Gonna go through it on Legendary in co-op when I'm done on a Heroic, really looking forward to it.
Haha yeah, we were just going to casually go through it. Few beers
etc. We'll be done by tonight so if you fancy doing 3-4 coop in the coming weeks give us a shout. Will defiantly be up for doing it on a harder setting.
Also really want to try the Horde multilayer levels.
I've been going through the campaign Co-op with Wilco. I have to admit i'm really enjoying it. It is a Halo game and it doesn't try to be anything else or reinvent it's self. But, it has taken on board all that was good in previous games and learnt from everything that was bad. I've yet to wonder down the same corridor 50,000 times *cough*.
The AI always seems to surprise me in Halo, i have no idea why. Maybe because so many games these days are scripted heavily and tend to just run at you. A number of times last night we would loose track of an elite only for him to appear of to the side of us. And even on normal settings these buggers take some time to go down providing you with a non-static battle that has you moving around the map.
All in all i'm really enjoying it. I expect to finish the campaign tonight.
Quote from seirI don't get why people like Halo...
Pointless post is pointless.
Cool cool ;D~ might see you on there later ![]()
Surprisingly no topic for this yet, anyway Reach is due out today. Hopefully my copy will be waiting on the door mat when i get in.
If anyone is up for playing some co-op with me and Wilco will be on around 7:30-8:00pm GMT.

And we saw his shield half made in the Iron Man films...sooooooooooooooooo

I just wanted to say thank you to my fellow mapcore friends. It has been 10+ years for some of us and if it were not for your constant pushing etc.. I would not be a part of this industry. So I honored you all with mention in the credits

Warby I found i was also being raped in MP during the beta...but again thats before the ratings had settled. Once people had been playing for awhile and skill levels had been determined things got lots better. Also the coop mp stuff should be fun.
Mazy i'm also looking forward to the SP, will defiantly be finishing that before MP and because i'm not great at MP i'll be trying out the coop MP.
Have to have some mapcore style games ![]()
So tomorrow is the day! Who's getting it and what's your battle.net id!
Nice one KFS, surprised no one has thought of this before.

Quote from instaGame schools are abundant, so people with even a minor interest in games dev can study for a couple of years and most likely get a job afterwards. Before it seemed that modding was THE stepping stone into the industry, but that's the past (sadly).
Thats interesting actually...people are trying to market it...crash courses into the games industry. Instead of what was happening 5-6 (even longer maybe) years ago where you had to build up your own portfolio from "mods" you worked on. I guess mappers, texture artists and modellers where more segregated, but now you need to be a master of all trades.
I didn't think of that.
Quote from SkjalgWell the word "mod" is a modification to a game, so I think that goes under the "UI addon" umbrella as well as map generation. Most huge titles now a days ship with some form of content-creating tools (World of warcraft, Crysis, Source, UDK, Starcraft 2 just to name a few). If you compare that against 10 years ago, then you notice that the (few) modders out there are spread over such a vast array of games that it might seem a bit on the slow side for all of them...
Good point. The WOW UI scene is insanely massive and is closer (in my opin) to what the word Modification actually means. Maybe the lingo we use needs to change. It's meaning is being diluted and confused in the generation divide (ok maybe thats a bit extreme but hopefully you get me).
oh god! it's like parents not getting "cool and hip" words
maybe i've just become old.
Speaking of SC2. I've even seen a lot of SC2 custom content already. The galaxy editor has given us FPS and Side Scroller version of SC2 already....and it's not even out.
