    Glad to see the Ausländer support unsere Mannschaft this time around. Following the tradition of my people to be pessimistic and cynical in regards to our team's performance in the tournament, I would like to state that I don't expect them to make it far. If I'm right, I can say "I told you so" and if I'm not, well, I'll be pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to see dramatic performances by Pepe and the dreams of overly enthusiastic Englishmen getting crushed in the quarter finals. Bring it on!

    How does everybody like the maps? Any favourites? On most maps, no matter which path I take, I end up at the objective (as long as I go in that direction) - which is great. The only map where I got stuck and had to backtrack for a long time to get to where I wanted to go was Volskaya Industries.

    Are you certain this is absolutely mandatory or is this just a workaround to test the maps in Showdown on your server? Because last time I checked DM-Chill was not set to a specific gamemode and that one is obviously working in Showdown. I don't think I'll be able to change the world settings and re-package my map before tonight.

    I was expecting it to be more like a MOBA and it ended up being more like TF2. Cannot complain! Really good fun! I would have loved to try the competitive mode though. As it stands, friends of mine (and myself included) are skeptical about the longevity and somewhat on the fence whether to shell out 60 EUR for it. But regardless: great job to everyone who has been working on it! Love the maps!

    That is being taken care of automatically by using the nav mesh. It makes sense to check this though because sometimes you have navigation data in places where it isn't needed and that is then redundant information on the mini-map.

I wouldn't say that these cities have particularly strong left wing alternative scenes. About voters with migration backgrounds more likely to vote for AfD: I heard this was the case in Freiburg, but I am not aware that this is a common thing. What I do know is that the AfD got their most succesful election results in Sachsen Anhalt.

    I guess what we can agree on is that clustering many immigrants in few areas doesn't help them getting integrated. This is why I find it cynical when people from areas with close-to-zero immigration rates argue that they don't want to take in ANY Muslims because they don't want their land of flowing milk and honey to turn into a ghetto. I believe if we scattered them more evenly, we would get less problems. And I believe as well that we cannot take in everyone, but what I am concerned with is that some of these "homogenous communities" tend to see any foreigner as an intruder that they have to "defend themselves" against, which sadly often turns into violence or this embarrassment of a political movement such as Pegida in Dresden.

    See, in Germany, the regions that are the most against immigration are the ones with the lowest population of Muslims. It's funny because if all Muslims were violent fanatics then you would think that their Christian and atheist neighbors would be the first to complain about them. But instead it's the people who are afraid of the foreign(ers). And sadly these people also generalize a lot. I guess this can be seen at a bigger scale in all of Europe nowadays.

    @laminutederire: Except for hundreds of thousands of Jews who fled their home countries? And who can blame them? Or the Syrian refugees? If my family and me were eating grass in Aleppo because Assad's troops are sieging the city for weeks or my town is about to be overrun by psychopaths who threaten to cut off our heads or enslave my wife then, hell yes, I would try to get the fuck away. And I think there is no shame in doing that. There are by the way a substantial amount of Syrians who picked up the fight against the dictator AND the religious fanatics and see how well that has worked out so far.

    Just to be clear, I'm not arguing for open borders for everyone regardless of origin and without registration and background-checks. And I'm concerned about integration, too. But the other extreme of taking NOBODY in is IMO ice cold, inhumane and I won't stand for it,

    I agree that trying to rationalize everything by leaving religion completely out of the picture is the wrong thing to do but doing the extreme opposite thing by trying to blame everything on religion is just as wrong. When you look at the terrorist attacks in Northern Ireland which struck the region for several decades, you could, without digging deeper, file this under purely religious motivated conflicts between Catholics and Protestants. But the real reasons are societal, economical and political which have their origin many centuries before. I guess we would be better off without religions due their potential for tribal "us vs them" mentalities, to disguise sinister intentions and manipulate people. But it is too easy to say "IS exists because Muslims are crazy, therefore all Muslims are dangerous and need to be kept out or under surveillance". I'm not saying you are, but that's how some people seem to go about it.
