I'm really surprised by this, but I actually really like it so far.

Finished the campaign and played a bit of multiplayer. Not terribly impressed by it. It looks great, even though it definitely isn't the most diverse in terms of environments (with exception of the jungle level). I found myself dying a lot in really obscure places, maybe because I still didn't find the cover system very useful and mainly played it like a traditional shooter. To me the core firefight gameplay just didn't hold up that well, and although the mechanics are definitely superior compared to the KZ2, then I had more fun playing that. Oh and the story was a joke to put it mildly. Also stumble on a few bugs through the game, progression being halted because characters had frozen in their spot, unable to get to some area to activate a cutscene, and lots of weird audio stuff too.

The multiplayer is definitely where it's at for me. Had a couple of really good matches, still love the dynamic objective stuff, makes for some exciting changes in pace throughout a match, amazing not more games are doing this stuff. Most of the maps are pretty cool too, apart from the snow oilrig map that just caused one frustrating experience after another every time I played it.

Overall then it feels like a somewhat flat package compared to KZ2, but still a pretty good game.

Apparently its set up to be revealed the same day that Battlefield 3 will be shown. Guess we got ourselves a cock fight on our hands, and I don't mean the bird.

Like I said in a previous thread, then rumours make it sound like some kind of Frankenstein game, 3 different developers overlapping on various bits of it. Not that that's completely unheard of in games, but it definitely shows how serious Activision are about not missing a year.

Looks good, but they definitely shouldn't go around saying that this is a new engine, its pretty clear that its the same old Gamebryo, not that that's a problem really.

Can't wait for it tho, they're more or less the only game dev that make single player games that I can be bothered to spend 100+ hours on.

In BF2 it initially took ages to get anything tho, they made it faster with a patch later which meant most people got 2 free upgrades

But yeah, the rumours so far points to this year's COD being kind of a Frankenstein game, 3 different developers on it and such. If they have to dethrone COD then this definitely seem like the right year to strike.

Do you play on console? If so get it for PC! combat was the best part of of the first one because it was super tactical and quite the opposite from button mashing. You're supposed to pause and micromanage every half second of real time.

I have heard that, which is why I actually never bothered with the first Dragon Age, since I didn't have a machine that could run the damn thing, and people made the console version sound like the plague.

Don't know how it was in the first one, but here (on the 360) it seems like micromanagement is limited to switching characters and all this is happening in real time.

There's also just something about the fiction, it seems über dry from the demo, doubt I could get through the entire game. The "funny/prankster" reply option during conversations is pretty cool tho, basically took that every time

Never played the first Dragon Age, but this one just didn't do that much for me. Like Mass Effect, its the conversations and stuff that's the best part of the game, but unlike ME2 where the combat is somewhat decent then it's just a constant button masher here, at leash with the Warrior I played.

I'd love a World War I game with high production values. Shite guns, mustard gas and horses with gas masks! Fuck yeah!

Or 3rd person action game based on the Napoleonic Wars.

I think if the best dev fit for doing a proper Blade Runner game these days would be Bioware (Or Team Bondi, if L.A. Noire turns out as awesome as it sounds), and then they should almost cut out the entire action part of the game, be 90% conversations and 10% action . Actually any dev doing a Blade Runner game I'd be all for

This might be a bit dry, but I'd love to see a studio like Naughty Dog try and do a Bond game. Think they could knock it outta the park if they had enough creative freedom with the story line. Then again I'd actually rather see them do something completely new

Ah cool, it's been popular to hate on Treyarch but Codblops is definitely my favorite in the series since COD4. I'll admit that I wasn't terribly impressed by the campaign though, not that it was bad or anything. Been playing the the map pack a lot lately, really digging all the maps in it so good job there

Regarding the site then its pretty busy, don't know if its really intended as a proper showcase for your portfolio but it just comes off as lots of flashy....flash stuff
