I literally couldn't care less about all this TV stuff. My TiVo gives me access to more channels than the Xbox would have (because it comes with the cable subscription), lets me access all of my country's On Demand content, and probably has superior DVR capabilities in general. I can't imagine many people in the US and UK don't have a device like this already because cable/satellite providers literally give them away, although I don't know about elsewhere.

god yes
Although I have no idea what I just watched. Also does mean they're a one game per generation developer? Jesus lol.

Haha, yeah my honest opinion has always been that the 360 looks like shit but I can't say it's ever really mattered.

Yeah I don't have a problem with the design, looks pretty sharp to me. I do have a problem with the amount of room the fucker's going to take upon my TV stand though. I hope Sony have an ultra-compact version of the Eye shipping with the PS4.

I suppose they're trying to encourage people to just call it an 'Xbox' the same way that people use 'PlayStation', which is a quirk that Sony's somehow managed whereas most people use the specific name of Microsoft and Sony's consoles.
'One' is so stupid that it'll discourage people from using that to refer to it, and people will obviously want to avoid using the full 'Xbox One' name during casual conversation because it's long and sounds awkward. So 'Xbox' it is. Marketing genius in a way.

Yeah, can't wait to see what he does with Star Wars.
One thing that I really love about Abrams is that he knows how to take my breath away. Lots of directors can put together awesomely epic action scenes, but few can make me just sit there in stunned silence as a sequence unfolds. I'm never sure if I should be excited by the action or if I should prepare for some serious emotional rape. He's generally not afraid to kill off significant characters so you never quite know what's going to happen. I know from past experience that out of nowhere some much-loved character can just get fucked up in Abrams' works.
QuoteI absolutely loved the sequence where we're introduced to the guy with a dying daughter, and how he's driven to do what he does out of desperation to save her. The cinematography, music, and acting pull together so perfectly and it's essentially a beautiful short in itself. Then there're the major death/near-death sequences; I love how Abrams cuts the sound effects right back during these moments, letting just a few through and pumping the music right up. Good film making, man.

I can't say I really noticed it that much in either film. It was definitely there in the sequel and I do think it's a nice trademark effect. The visuals and set pieces as a whole were incredible though, definitely a step up. Not seen such epic space action... well, ever.

Watched it, enjoyed the fuck out of it.
Such a beautiful film, too. -
I have to admit that this seems almost laughably small in scope compared to the epic Chronicles of Riddick, but Pitch Black was a very intimate film too that didn't really lend itself very well to a trailer. We'll have to see but I'm hoping they don't forget what made those films cult classics.

But... VIN DIESEL.

To be honest she sounds like a nutcase to me.

Agreed. Dat reflections.

She's alive and at the hospital. Not sure if I'm going to post more details but that's all I have for now, not sure if she even wants me to share that on here, but it sounds like things have gotten a bit serious... but she's okay right now.

lmao

Sounds awesome, very high on my anticipation list right now. D:
BTW has anyone else watched Person of Interest? I started it a week or so ago and it's pretty obvious from the first few minutes Watch Dogs was massively inspired by it. Not so much the story and overall concept, but it's full of the same kind of 'connected city' effects as Watch Dogs, cool stuff. Enjoyable series too and I just love that dude from Lost.

Looks sweet as ass and Children of Men was awesome. What's wrong with Bollock?

I agree that it's a bit of a shift in focus for the series with things clearly being taken to the epic scale, and it's something that'll inevitably draw comparisons with games like Killzone, Resistance, etc. In fact Killzone is probably this games' biggest rival as that game is absolutely drenched in sci-fi Nazi-esque imagery.
Still, I'm optimistic a good game will come out of it. At the end of the day the old Wolfenstein stories have been told, and this is an opportunity to take some of its stronger elements and make something that can actually succeed in today's market. An IP as venerable as Wolfenstein deserves it.

Just seems kind of redundant when LinkedIn offers virtually the same service but is a lot better and has infinitely more people already on it. As has been said many times (particularly about Google+): the best social network is the one people you know are actually using.
I vaguely recall another site trying to do exactly the same thing some years ago, which predictably I've never come across again.
