Hi, me once again! A picture i painted over the last few days after a photo of a girl i know. Not sure wether the leaving or hiding the blossom suits her more:

well i hope you never show it to her. this isnt really good. actually i suck at painting photorealistic, so i cant tell you what you could do better in which way. all i know is that this is nothing i would call "nice" or "beautiful" sorry mate.

painting is something that needs a lot of training and time. so i recommend throwing all you leveldesign stuff over board and concentrate either on leveldesign or painting.

the throat needs to be way slimmer, it looks like she's a man because of it. also, rework the jaw/chin in a way so it looks more round. again, a more square face looks more manly.

the hair shows some promise but the proportions are all wrong. In particular the eyes are huge, neck should be slimmer as sentura said. Things just generally need to be smoother flowing into each other. Spend some time actually studying peoples faces and noticing how skin color fades from the lips to the face or shapes in the head you can remember to make it easier.

Actually, take a figure drawing class.

I did a little edit mostly with the liquify filter to put her to proportions as much as possible, the shadows needs to be more pronounced than that, and yeah it's still plenty of flaws that i'm sure i don't even know the existence. Also I dunno if ends up to be her real face since i don't have the photo, but maybe it can save you a date

A good trick to keep proportions of a face coherent is to keep in mind that the eyes and the nose are restrain in the height of the ear (my two horizontal lines), also always try to keep a perspective, it'll help.

I've also changed the contrast and saturated the colors to the red, it was originally really gray.

What if the original picture is 100% accurate of the photo?
