very nice though i have to go along with the destruction often not interacting with the textured elements of walls.

    That Cathedral looks incredible.

Is it in the 3d skybox, or is it actually in the map?

Exactly what I was thinking ! The view behind the bridge is so impresive ! I really want to see more and to play it ! (Fortunatly I own Dods ! )

Ps: The Cathedral seems to be part of the map thought !

    *wondering why hessi doesn't reply*

    Yea it's a mesh/part of the map.

i couldnt access the forums since either the host or my provider fucked up :ssj:

well the church and the other side of the river are parts of the skybox. creating a seemless transition between church and game world was quite a bit tricky. since there were sorting and lighting problems on the displacement meshes. actually they are still present but i tried to hide them as good as possible.

got to make some changes to a door model since it blocks people when trying to run smoothly through. then there might be some closed testing phase and hopefully a release soon

    ok fellas,

tomorrow around 8 pm (GMT +1) there will be a closed playtest of dod_kolsch. if someone is interested and there are still slots avaible i could hand out a "preview version" of the level to separate individuals. if the playtest doesnt bring any bigger flaws to daylight a final release is in near future.

those who are interested in joining the test should drop me a PM or add me in steams friends network. i am in the mapcore steam group so you can find out my account data

Looks great but the only slight worry I have is the name. If its not an amazingly simplistic name people tend to have struggle naming it and then bizarrely playtime goes down the spout.

I love how this level actually looks like a european/german city and not some fictional fantasy world like the rest of dod source Very well done!

thanks for the nice comments, klein and all the others.

a release is coming closer. i have some exams at university tomorrow and on friday. after that i have the time to pollish the last few things. so a release in february is very realistic.
