On the last shot, the break at the top (with the bricks in between wallpaper) doesn't look right, the bricks should be side ways and be crumbling out of the wall panel. The wallpaper/wood should be burnt and rugged looking and the sides of the wall look downright odd, they should be crumbled away or something:

Don't mind the terrible photoshop, but hopefully you see what I mean

I agree with some of the nitpicking. Rougher weather for atmosphere might have been nice and the towers on the bridge look odd/very small, but I think that's due to the view the shot was taken from and the huge size of the bridge (gotta check out how it looks in game). Minor corrections/more detail on broken walls here and there, fine, but I think the amount of effort put into this is still under appreciated (looking at the replies). Just look at the provided selection of screens and realize how much custom content was made for this.
The facades along the streets look great (love the rooftops and the cable cars on the streets) and the riverside is especially amazing. Not to mention the frickin' cathedral of course!
I hope the map will be released soon, one way or another!

tanks frie!
jeanpaul kind of pissed me off in another forum.
QuoteThe church relies a little bit too much on texture though
what do people expect? that we build a church like that with a single 128x128 wall texture? IMO the church texturing is still too repetitive, but since it is such a big model it is nearly impossible to do better.
thanks to the nice comments from those who gave nice comments. i agree with the fact that the destruction could be a bit more realistic, but since you all worked with hammer editor once i think you all know what a pain in the ass displacements can be! though warby and i wanted to focus on graphics and gameplay so if there are some flaws in the graphics the gameplay mostly profits in a different way. the main street is already really busy. its hard to determine a sniper in the allied spawn from the far end. so adding more detail would only make it much harder and probably people would be annoyed by physics meshes blocking their bullets in "transparent" areas. so I once again thank you all and probably we will all soon play this piece

You can ALWAYS do better no matter what.
I think he meant that it looks like a low poly with slapped photos on but i can't tell what he really meant.

*/
edit: sry kt, thanks hessi [Blocked Image: https://migrationtest.mapcore.org/public/style_emoticons/default/mapcore_smilies/emot_shakehead.gif] won't do it again (just had a block in the head which disabled me to get together a sentence).

This Screenshot shows a flat wall (at least it looks like that), where all details are only represented in the texture (arches etc.) I think, that JP was refering to this when he was talking of "relies a bit too much on texture" (perhaps you could add geometry to these details.
