Call of Duty: United Offensive expansion. CoD4 may trump it in almost every way, but everyone can likely play UO

Last lanparty I went to we had a lot of fun with Flatout 2, Medieval 2, Soldat (crazy mix of worms and counter-strike - also free!), and Battlefield 2.

Big enough and have enough players go TF2 as Thrik said. If you have at least 4 players per team (better it becomes the best lan-game ever - and is yet "less known" as a such.

Acid Arena and Battlefield 1942, but then again, I've never been to a sober lan party.

    serious sam 1 and 2

    vietcong 2

    raven shield

rogue spear (utter classic in every way)

    vietnam: line of sight (hilarious)

    Close Combat: First to Fight

    Judge Dredd: Dredd vs. Death

    Delta Force: Black Hawk Down

    SWAT 4: the Stetchkov Syndicate

    Dangerous Waters

Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green

    Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

most of those are co-op, all have MP pvp (afaik)

you'll have lots of fun, trust me sometimes the worse a game is SP the better it is as co-op, especially if you can shout at the people in the same room ;D

Wow, thanks for response guys, some interesting positions here! What about type of games similar to Freelancer? We look out for something new, but usually it ends with HL1 Deathmatch (crossfire ), q3 and SC. Too sad though, that we dont have TF2... not every cpu in our "group" can handle it i suppose...

hl1 is awesome on lan... especially when you download some shitty maps and fuck around in them. i mean, really, it's fun as in you'll be laughing so much you cant breathe.

look around on the net for shitty maps, join some different servers to get the different maps downloaded. extreme crude maps are especially fun, since you can laugh at the designer's inability to design while blowing up everyone up with rpgs. my personal recommendation would be the map called rpgdm... i reckon it was made by flashdevil
