Just flashed up steam and noticed my favourite author, Clive Barker, is releasing a new game tomorrow.

I'd never heard of Jericho. Undying was a fucken awesome game, scared the shit out of me. I'll buy Jericho on the basis that Barker put his name to it.

You haven't heard about "the witcher" before?

The videos I saw of jericho didn't look too bad, but the review scores aren't all that convincing. Around ~66 on average for all 3 platforms.

I played the demo on my 360, played for a while then got stuck and it sucked.

    Not my kinda game.

It wasn't on my radar at all until a guy at work said I should check out the demo (In return I had him check out ShadowRun, spreading some luv ). Anyway, its not all bad, and it has some okay ideas with the squad based stuff where different members have some unique abilities and weapons, but it just felt so sluggish in the controls Also the combat was kinda weak, a bit hard to judge from the demo though. And although it looked really dark and moody and actually had a location that called for the shiny specular maps (for once!), then I cant help thinking that its the kinda game where you'll be sick and tired of the art style after playing it for an hour or so.

Anyway I didn't like it, never properly checked out Undying but it seems like a lot better game than this.

I quite liked the demo, although it had moments of complete game design disaster. What the hell was the pitch black tunnels bit all about? Dear god that was horrific. The QTE moment as well seemed really harsh - took me about 5 attempts to get through despite the fact I'm normally pretty good at them in games like Shenmue or Tomb Raider.

Still, despite those issues and some mixed reviews, I really rather fancy picking it up. I liked the squad mechanics of being able to jump between characters at will, and it was nice that they do it in a way that ties in with the storyline. Finding the finances and time to fit it in amongst all the other games hitting in the next while is gonna be tricky though

i know i should be ashamed. i feel compelled to read the saga about it now though, since the game is interesting to say the least. only bad thing might be that there isn't an english translation... so i'd have to read it in polish
