this thing is never going to work. if you book a plane ticket 3 months in advance, 3 months later everyone else will have forgotten about it and you will have wasted a bunch of money. good luck

Luka does have a point, but you can always book last minute on the cheaper airlines like RyanAir, EasyJet etc and get good prices. I don't think you will save a lot by booking ahead if you're already in europe...there all about £80-100 whenever you book or travel (bar big events like christmas)

i disagree, but then again i put my trust in people (weird thing to do, eh). besides i am getting tired of people saying, 'no way' when this is rather simple proposal; if you ever planned a vacation you didn't order it the day before either.

i urge those not interested to stay away from this thread, and while this is an off topic forum, i would appreciate that the eot remarks stay out of it. thank you.

as for the rest of the thread: we need to put down the date. all suggestions within a reasonable timespan welcome (i.e. not tommorow or next week).

March 08 would seem like a good time to me. No point in doing it before christmas or just after as we'll all be poor . Damn all that giving gifts HUMBUG!

i don't hear any objections from anyone; so i guess people either don't care or agree in silence. personally i'd settle for later that year seeing as the weather will still be cold, but that is trivial i suppose. i also suppose late march is when we want to do this, and of course, do it over a weekend.

If you consider travelling to the Games Convention 2008 (not sure if it is Leipzig, Berlin or Frankfurt this year) this could be an ideal date aswell. Just came to my mind.

I thought about that as well. But it would be very costly. Sadly the hotels are smart and whack up the prices around that time of year. So it's best if possible to stay away from that....annoying i know ~
