    it was more of a decision that Brew wanted to step down, and the choice was between me and mike and people couldn't really decide. Since we couldn't have two owners Mike took the main role and I became the VP of Mapcore of sorts.

    Yes it was sort of Impromtu, but brew did invite all the ops that were present at the time to be let in on the decision and have them decide what should be done. Some comical names were brought up, but in the end it was a choice between me and mike.

    The Chips and Wacko were bumped down to masters only to allow the position of power to remain between me and mike. This was nothing against chips and wacko since they are both great guys. The decision was just made to allow only two main leaders, me and mike.

    Some Masters were dropped down to Ops, and Ops to peons, just to clean up the list of people that really didn't participate or we didn't know exactly who they were.

    Its just like any thing where there is a power change: New presidency, a new king/ruler, changes are made in how a place runs. We hope to keep mapcore the same and not have what happened about a year ago that cuased half of the room to leave. It is merely just a shift in power as Brew finally decided to turn over command.

    like mojo said above it will take time for everything to slot back into place and become the norm again.

    while mike might not give a shit me saying this im gonna say it anyway gj on getting the forums up plus full of active users and hopefully a growing community as well.

    I think you're taking this way too seriously. There is no one person in "charge" of well... what is there to be in charge of? Like I said, It's a channel for fun... if you're not having it by all means leave, don't let the door hit you on the ass.

    In addition. You've given me what... a day to prove myself? That's fair. Thanks for staying "unbiased" about it like you seem to think is so pivotal to the survival of the channel.

    About mojo. Saying he's "too nice" or whatever. I've been good friend with Pat for like 5 years now, I take everything his says very seriously and we respect each others opinions and views. I guarantee if he thinks I should change something, I'll sit down and it with him until we're both satisfied.

    Hinkey, I know I haven't been in mapcore as long as most people, but in regards to the unbalance of power and it being unchecked I think you wrong. Don't worry so much man, you think if mikezilla or anyone for that matter got out of hand the WHOLE of mapcore wouldn't have something to say? Don't want to sound cheesy but don't forget, it is a core.

    I think I said most of what is to be said in my previous post about how the new channel will work, so I will just state here a but more about the new power system and hopefully clarify it.

    As mike says there is no one person in charge of the channel. True he may be the only owner and I am a co-owner, but there is real no difference in power there. The only advantage he has above me is taking me out of my position. since me and mike go a ways back and respect each others opinions and listen to their concerns I don't think we will have a problem with this. We are like the Wonder Twins or something, using our power for good and not for evil.

    One Last point I respect you hinkey and your decisions, I just have one little issue to raise which made me kidn of chuckle since it was probably just a hasty reply you made. You say I am too nice, well that is true, but then you say you like brew of his unbiased decisions, which in my book would be also qualify as nice, so I guess I was just a little confused there, but I think I got your general point.

    For it to be an "I told you so", something bad generally has to happen to the other party; which in this case I fail to see. Feel free to point out.

    Me and mikes post came round about the same time, so it made me look like I copied him heh. My point is, like I said and mike did too, there is NO real person that is in charge per say of #mapcore. Sure there is ownership, but no one is going to get "corrupt" anytime soon and if they do, they will sorted out accordingly.

    Hinkey it can't be any clearer, just come back. I enjoyed your company as I do with most people in mapcore. Don't take offense, mikezilla was just pointing out that no one has complete control over the channel, which seems to be the general concensus. As I, mikezilla, mojo and i'am sure everyone in mapcore agrees.
