Unity 2.0 released, get FarCry graphics in your browser

    A new version of one of the best tools for rapid game development has just been released. It was pretty damn good already and it has gotten an a lot better.

    To view the demos you need to install the webplayer which is a 1-click install that works even without restarting your browser!

    First (when the demo had loaded like 50%) I was like "Oh right, Far Cry graphics my ass" but after seeing and walking around Its not that far from Far Cry really, sure its a lot difference but being a browser game is certainly impressed me. Makes me wonder when handhelds should be able to do this

    How does it work ? When you buy a pro licence, you can sell what you've done on it ?

    It may sound cool that a browser can do this, but it's just a plugin that runs something that has downloaded to your pc, just like a normal game. Not awesomely new or exciting.

    played with the editor for this when it first got released, it looks really nice. I'm going to try and get my karts running in it with my programmer buddy this week.

    looked like on the site it showed that you could develop for windows.. but only if you "upgraded" ie bought it.
