I am not willing to talk about specific work and rates in a forum. Either email me or it's not going to happen.

sry, i must have missed that out in along the lines in the thread. i'll be sure to send you an email

Sure it's another WW2 GAME, but if you're having fun making it, then who am I or anyone else for that matter going to whine about it

Good luck and I hope it gets released at least, whether it's going to be good is another story.
Edit: Fixed mod/game.

It's a full game, not a mod.

Professional Recruitment
Only approved users can post in here. People that post here are posting for real paying jobs.

-
Two reasons, firstly there are alot of good mappers out there that may be interested in joining the team directly. They would be on a deferred payment system like mods. As in they work in the hope that the project will generate enough revenue to pay them.
Secondly:

Given that I am not an approved user I assumed I was not allowed post there, so why make more work for the moderators when I can just post here.

Professional Recruitment is reserved for companies offering actual jobs, not internet contracting for assets. This will stay in the Mod Recruitment forum.
On a side note: quit being dicks.

ww2 mod guy: hey guys this is our mod it's ww2 and here is how far in progress it is, does anyone here like ww2 and want to help?
mapcore: dubbah u dubbah u two? *turn and spit out some chew* we don't take kindly to ww2 mods round these parts.
ww2 mod guy: uhh, ok well regardless here are the details for anyone that is interested - here is why it's a good opportunity.
mapcore: you are wrong.
ww2 mod guy: wrong about what? I'm just trying to explain what our project is.
mapcore: your mod is not valuable to anybody, go away.
ww2 mod guy: hey people have spent a lot of time on this, here is why I think it's valuable.
mapcore: nobody here is interested, go away.
mapcore #2: well actually I might be interested.
mapcore: shut up, your not interested, this thread is offensive.

I thought this forum was called mod recruitment, not "critique my mod premise" starring simon cowell. If you aren't interested in the job or have nothing constructive to add, is it so hard to refrain from hitting the reply button?
-
i giggled at zaphs post.
I can't say im excited by the theme but my project will be coming to close soon and if the pay is good i might be interested. Although i won't be able to do 'work now, pay sometime maybe later. possibly.'
-
Sounds interresting, I can only make env textures and skin player models
so I guess I am of no use anyways...
(I got to learn the modelling skills asap)

Initially it's pay upon completed item. Once we build up a relationship we will move to more standardized terms. What we found is that if we pay 1/3 upfront we never see 1/3 of the work or it gets to 85% and never gets done...
So we rather build up a business relationship first.
Also the pay is not based on how great you think you are
. It's based on what we mutually agree is a good price for the work at hand. Some people with 0 commercial experience or even a portfolio are unlikely to get paid roles. That said good work is good work and we are willing to look past lack of commercial work provided you have a strong portfolio.Quote from spineSounds interresting, I can only make env textures and skin player modelsso I guess I am of no use anyways...

Textures are always needed
,send an email and we can talk further. -
