Last I checked, HL was up at 7 million copies total, and HL2 at 4.5.

There are however other games I would have thought to score better. Including at least one Zelda game....

i find this very offensive to all the excellent games with good ratings that werent put on the chart. it's a shame that marketing and franchise still plays such a huge role when a rich game should do just that. then again, there's a reason why the money charts are few and far inbetween, and thank * for that.

i mean seriously, look at it: all the pokemon games are there, most of the marios and that it.

Interesting, but not surprising. Didn't think Starcraft would have beaten Wow.

    What the hell... Really unbeleavable...

    1/That game suck as hell.

2/It's a quite new game, for a new console...

released in Japan on April 21, 2005, and was later released in North America and Singapore on August 22, 2005.

In two years O_O... More than Super Mario Land on GameBoy in 18 years !

    Really strange.

WoW has ~9 million active accounts atm. If these sales numbers are correct, then all who have ever bought WoW would still be paying each month - I highly doubt this.

Not that surprising when you consider the sales numbers of the DS. I've never played Nintendogs myself, but I can imagine it's high on that list for the same reasons Brainage is. And I wouldn't say it's just the Japanese buying it, as far as I know it sold pretty strong in NA/Europe as well.

Nintendogs was a launch title for the DS, wasn't it? Which has done stupidly well in Japan.

But that list looks extremely wrong, where are the sports games? Why is this on a website about guns?

Nintendogs seems to be a convenient solution to all parents who don't want to clean dogs hairs off the carpet.

But it's funny to see that the videogame best sellers are actually a lot of games for girls : pokemon, the sims, nintendogs. Actually what i think, is that girls :

    - Usually don't pirate games.

    - Play less games than boys (in number of hours), that imply that the choice of videogames for girls is less important.

So when girls buy a game, they all buy the same game, this not means they will play it alot, but they had bought it . I mean when you have a whole lot of different FPS, girls have only one game about puppies, and i think this is why the sims are still up there .

And hey, they are more numerous than us testosterone powered living beings. There's a big market out there

What your aliens & zombies can do against this :
