I doubt that's the case, in Europe we have this sport called Rugby, it's like American football only you stop the game less and aren't padded up like complete pansies.

It's not suprising people think of so-called soccer when people say football. Nobody else plays American football and it has very little foot to ball action in it.

Though both bore me to tears.

The reason American Football is not very popular in the rest of the world is because its considered a pussy variation of Rugby.

I think you would die often though in the NFL without pads, the velocity is higher and the men are fatter... mass x velocity = ouch

But is so American, you have to love it. Its sport taken to billion dollar proportions, fat losers get infatuated with it and drink lots of beer and eat food, all the companies save their best commercials for it, many kids in the southern United States put there futures on it, cheerleaders yay bouncy, its rule system is like our legal system. Its the American version of sport, and its awesome.

Second off, I play football, its my senior year at high school, and truthfully you can't say shit until you have played it.

I forget what the actual quote is from one of the radio stations in GTA3 but it summed up American Football nicely.
