Abandoned Hospital.

    Recently I have been working in Episode one to make a Hospital which has been left abandoned for quite some time, I have yet to decide what sort of gameplay this will be.

    It has to have gameplay elements to it, which is why there are lights, most of which are flickering.

    Watch out you'r lights, that lamp is directly illuminating the ceiling, and it shouldnt!

    Big ass spot light, without any more shadows iluminating the room, this tends to look odd, besides, increase the radius of the light, so it can illuminate more physical space.

    your 2 cent you mean?

    anyway it looks really bland. i know hospitals are supposed to be very sterile environments, but you could still add some screens etc etc. whenever i am at a hospital, i never see anything bland like that, you always have glasses, tables etc everywhere.

    Good start. The lighting can be a lot sexier (sorry, couldn't find a better word) and I'd throw in some more junk to make this place seem really abandoned and condemned.

    Thanks for the good comments guys. Oringinally the lights used sprites, but the glow was too big so I removed them.

    in love with the light shadow thing above the lamp is that a sprite or actually generated by rad ?

    1 and 2 screen is great. Try to make a light like here and try to use a lot of references. I'll be watching your WIP in future so make my happy and continue

    The hell?

    I wanted awhile ago, when I first play Ep. 1 to make a HL2:DM map around a hospital, cause I loved the hospital props avaliable. But I was told I couldn't import the models to HL2DM cause of legal stuff.

    Did you? Or is this mapped and played in Episode1?

    I didn't think it seemed tha blue, I wanted to take some of the brightness out of the white.

    Hey #1 Duck.

    I won't say much as I've already told you my thoughts on Half-Wit 2, but still I think the lighting needs a little change. maybe make it a less noticeable blue and make it darker, to make the spotlights stand out and to make it more abandoned.

    yo hospital is cool, but you need more vents n pipe models on tha walls,

    look in tha hl2 wasteland models folda to git some of them.

    where is tha entrance ta tha hospital?

    looked like hl1 when i first saw it, then i saw some of the models, and became unsure what it was. after watching the last, i could see its hl2, it need more props, more shapes, very square.
