Am I retard or noone posted that there is a demo out?
Medal of Honor: Airborne Demo

I think it hasn't been posted yet. I played it on Friday and was pleasantly surprised

-
Didn't try it out so I shouldnt say anything but it didnt look that fun when I watched insta playing it. Could very well be wrong tho. Gonna try to play it a bit later on.

Its pretty good game. They are genius for designing the fluent movement when aiming with ironsites.
I used to be a huge MOH fan back in the day.
So heres my good bad review

The good:
- Guns feel good, powerful
- Free Fluent moment while aiming is amazing
- Visuals are actually nice
- The level did not feel linear.
- when parachuting you are able to land anywhere.
- Your AI Team works together but does not rely on you to guide them, rather they rely on their own mission which is pretty bad ass.
- Weapon Bunting feels powerful
- Enemy AI can flank you from behind at times it seemed. It actually felt like I had to watch my back in this game.
- Team AI will watch behind your team, either by grabbing a mg, that your team just took over or guarding in general. It was pretty sweet.
The Bad:
- AI Enemy at times just sits there
- Player Physics can be pretty bad(I seen a an enemy get shot and fly ontop of a roof, heh)
- Controls are harder to get used to then say COD games
- Grenades are not throwable by pressing one button
- No Prone
- Item Pick ups make weird sounds, like a quake game which takes you away from the realistic gameplay they have created.
- When shooting an enemy, a red marker appears within your reticule, which in my opinion, takes you away from the realism.

Downloaded it yesterday but BioShock is waaaaay more interesting

I'll get to it, actually looks quite good from what I've seen~
-
yeah Bioshock is waaaaaaay more interesting

-
awesome game, allthough - is it the reichstag you rush as an american? because i played some mission like that on the gc and was like "WTF - americans on the reichstag?"
-
-
I just ran around screaming "I'M BOYD TRAVERS, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!" a lot. It was fun for a lark, though. I can see how they're getting away with the sandbox gameplay, because the sandbox is pretty small, and you just get a starter objective based upon where you land (can't fault them, it's a solid design solution).
-
I think it was very awesome...
-
So far the most awesome was that I downloaded a 1,3gig zip that took 10 minutes to unpack with another self extracting archive, to take another 10 minutes just to contain setup files. And all this packing saved few mb's
Will try to test it out when it installs

Tested it yesterday, fun game but AI's stupid, germs are respawning too much and I think that whole this UE3 thing doesn't really look better than DODs here. I Like Parachuting, movement bouncing and ironsight leaning tho.
-
I thought it was pretty damn sweet. But guh. More WW2

/goes back to Bioshock

I was definitely really let down by the lighting, for UE3 it didn't really seem like it.
-
me and my x800pro couldn't play it.

-
Indeed, it did not look that good overall. It was pretty cool gameplay wise tho, definitely a step in the right direction for the MOH games if they aren't going modern war like everybody else
. Their lean mechanic worked really well tho, really dug that.Oh and was I the only one that for once couldn't distinguish between allies and axis in this game, I constantly thought allies were axis and vice versa, damn Italian look-a-likes

-
I agree with Mazy here, and I think most of you are forgetting something;
Yes, lighting and looks might not be top notch, but you could walk on the roofs, and see the entire level without any lag.
Try that in dods

Wait wait wait...UE3? I didn't put much thought into what engine the game is running on when I played the demo, but I remember when the game was announced and first pictures appeared in magazines, didn't EA proclaim it to be using the next big installment of Renderware? Whatever happened to that?

-
By the way (And I'm not, deliberately, trying to hihack the thread), am I the only one that think BioShock did not have the UE3 look? Maybe its because the visual style is so unique, but it just looked like some inhouse engine more than anything.
-
Meh it was not exciting for me at all.
They go for "realism" with the viewbob almost turning the screen from left to right 45 degrees, motion blur that was way over the top, the view weapon bouncing everywhere, and what ever else they threw in because it happens in real life, but when you jump down from a 10 or so meter wall you take no damage... wtf?
And when you were hit/shot and the screen changed colour almost caused me to have an epileptic fit.
Luckily bioshock came out just in time to sugar coat my eyes with a good looking game, that is also very fun
