Games are about fulfilling peoples fantasies. Nobody wants to play as a normal person and be conformist and nice to everyone.

^^ This. It's the reason why I don't understand half of the sports games, why sit down in front of a PC/console simulating something you could actually do for real? Getting out and about is better for you than staying indoors on your arse for ages.

Having said that I still think the idea of a huge interactive city where you can travel around and talk to people is a cool idea.. I suppose you could have the option to kill them as well.. if you liked

sounds like the kind of game fags would play

Funny you say that, because part of the idea of "value games" is somehow to offer gamers new perspecties on how to view other people as people, rather than as objects or as somehow less worthy or as mere cannon fodder. It's not that we can't have shooter games and violent games etc, it's just an idea that asks what if there were a way to use gaming to help people learn how to relate others as people and not objects.

So in this context, it is easy to interpret your comment as if you are objectifying (1) the thread starter (2) homosexuals (3) anyone who would consider playing a "value game". Was that your intention? To me you sound like you may not have considered that notion which I can understand cause most of the time we don't.

it was a throwaway comment designed to engage the readers' mind to look at the kind of thoughts your average gamer would purvey once hearing about a game that put you in the place of a do-gooder.

of course this kind of game would appeal to some people, many people I would have thought and would most likely be promoted by certain groups but I fear it would not be well received.
