The enviroment and graphics look very nice, it really surprised me since it's using the Source engine. At some point I even thought it looked better then some UE3 stuff I saw before (especially the lighting), although the characters look very cartoony (but that's probably the style they are going for).

Can't really comment on the gameplay... some weird stuff going on with that "dog/animal?" weapon

I also liked the detail of shooting flat tyres, makes me wonder if the vehicles are drivable.

    The animal weapon is bizarre.

Something is up with the Ragdoll, but that looks incredibly good for the Source Engine.

Wow.. good job on making the source engine look really really good! There's ALOT of detail in the textures and the music in the background gives the whole scene an ill feeling (I know this is not the music from the game itself though). The animal looks like some weird, mad badger or something..

    EDIT

    It's a dog.

They have done some great work with the engine (although it looks like crap in that screenshot), but I suspect the total absence of fun beyond an hour that plagued the last games will reappear.

Maybe I'm just too cultured to enjoy this series.

I think that’s the worst AI I’ve ever seen.

Yeah the environment look nice. Will be interesting to see if they will maintain such detail in the whole game.

If that video was supposed to show off any kind of gameplay at all it looked EXTREMLY boring imo.

Looks nice yeah, it'll probably be like Postal 2 and Apocalypse Weekend though, ie not that great.

It always amused me in Postal 2 how the locals would shoot at you with a shotgun just for standing outside their backdoor

Postal is historically an absolutely abysmal game in my opinion, and I'll be very surprised if they can pull the gameplay of this version out of the gutter. I really can't even begin to describe just how little its wholly mindless gameplay appeals to me, and all signs point to a continuation.

I only actually played the demo of Postal 2, which consisted of you attempting to buy some milk from the store and then you somehow end up shooting police in the face and taking a piss on their corpses..

I guess you've never played the first Postal?

Btw, can you still commit suicide via the suicide button in Postal²?

Yea me too. I don't recall if I finished it but I played it for quite a while. I just hope you won't have to load as much as in Postal2...oh god, every 10 meters a loading screen...they are still haunting me today
