    there will be a tool released that will automatically go through the hl1 maps and replace the old hl wad textures and replace them with new high rez ones and re-scale them.

    i think the one real faulter you guys are making is when you get extra resolution you're not really using it to add more detail.

    keep the idea of the texture but not its exact low res oddness. The door was only beveled like that because it had no pixels to work with. you have a lot more... so you could do far more interesting color variation and design and stuff.

    ok i decided id try to make one, but i think i ended up falling on my ass and im about to embaress myself horribly. i didnt even do the origional justice!

    this is like my 3rd texture ever.

    nice mike, only thing I don't really go for is the 1 pixel black lines, makes it feel kind of cartoony. But thats just my opinion. The concrete looks great.

    be sure to save your psds people, so we can make targas of them later.

    dont backup as jpg unless you want uber compression all over your shiot.
