Though german beer is good i must say that czech beer is better. Its a shame that Pilsner Urquell or Budweiser (the original, not the american piss water) are not on that list. Thats two famous czech beers that every beer drinker around the world should have at least heard of.

I dont think they brew Weizen since its bavarian beer and personaly i dont like it anyways. They brew other sorts then Pilsner tho and they are all delicious.

Best Schwarzbier (Black beer) imo is Köstritzer. Its also the best german mainstream beer in general in my opinion. Guinness tastes like dog feces in comparison.

    Tennants!

Actually I hate the stuff, but just felt I should represent the Scots Favourite beer? I dunno really, I'm afraid I'm bit unrefined and tend to drink light, refreshing, mainstream beers like Bud or Beck's. Can't really hack ale's - the local beer festival is the only time I delve into those. Most pale, 5% beers sit well with me - Tiger, Kronenbourg 1664, Heineken, Peroni, Stella, whatever. I go for the case with the deal on it

Belhaven is another favorite. A bar near me used to have Belhaven on tap, that was just awesome, but no longer

    Belhaven is Scottish

Seconding Köstritzer as best dark beer~

On the other hand - I am not a big fan of dark beer and probably don't know that many others anyway

Yuengling And yes it is a fine brew. However I doubt many people here have ever heard of it, as it is pretty local to eastern US.

I'm sure joney has tried it though

thanks for reassuring me that im not crazy

I don't like beer but i drink it anyway because it's the only alcohol which allow you to drink all night long without being totally drunk...just a bit, which is perfect for me

So i would vote for "cheap blonde" (yeah, the tasteless beer which cost 10€ for a jug)

Leffe Blonde is indeed awesome. Can't drunk Heineken in this country anymore, went to Amsterdam and had it there, totally different and far nicer.

From the ones on the list, probably Carlsberg.

Budvar is probably my fave, but sadly you don't see it very often.

Hoegaarden is pretty nice if it's the same fruity one I recall having a few times, but I only know how to pronounce it as "hoe garden" which is slightly embarrassing if I'm wrong.
