Lucky bitches. Barcelona is awesome. If you want reference photos, then Barcelona can provide anything from medieval things to ultra high tech within like 10 minutes walking.

Well, I'm sad you picked Grin over GBX but congrats. Spain sounds like it will be a load of fun. I suppose one day I'll get the hell out of this country and get over to Europe as well.

Welcome to Spain kleinluka, hope you enjoy your stay here. It's great that a well known studio like Grin decided to expand in my country, hope others follow the same path.

Shouldnt be so important since the people in barcelona speak their own language (Catalan). I was never there tho so i could be wrong.

Congrats on the new job btw. For your age have come around a lot on the world already.

Nice to see you again Mouse, been q long time.

Barcelona is the most european-like city in Spain, lots of french and english so its really nice to live there.

Catalan is a dialect btw not a language in itself. However you might be right in that if you speak proper spanish (or come from a different part of spain) people might not be so receptant towards you. Personally I didn't have any trouble getting around when I was there, but then again, I was a tourist and my spanish is on a little more than comprehension level and I didn't really mingle with the spaniards.

Catalan and Castilian (commonly called Spanish) both emerged in parallel from the same roots -latin-. Its not a dialect, most people in Catalonia speaks Castilian too, but the main language there is Catalan.

Saying this would afaik offend a catalan. I guess castellano to catalan is like german to dutch.

yeah i've heard they get offended by it too, but we learned this in my spanish class. i know my teacher was a bit weird, but i trust his words...
