also try downloading it if you aren't already.

I have a K-Lite Codec Mega Pack. It's a pack of all possible codecs with very cool player Media Player Classic and your movie works great with chillout music

-
the codec I used is H264 so there should be no issues if you have quicktime installed.
Hehe, the music was the first mp3 I could find on the web for "winter mp3s"
here is a youtube version, I hate youtube quality though.

I put it on metacafe, the quality is a little bit better.

map looks great man! keep up the good work

been a bit under the weather lately, not as many updates

been doing some different hat/eyewear models and different eye/mouth textures to be swappable for racer customization. Been working on getting programmable shaders working in ogre which has been a bitch so far. I got a rim lighting shadrer half working though, and I think we will be able to have all the different parts of the character/kart/accessories have a color slider for further customization.

So cool, the monocle dude is my favorite, with the samurai coming in at a close second. Pun intended

the monodude is the idiot king

-
Needs one with a bowler hat and cigar and a space suit "fishbowl" bubble helmet.
Oh...and the stig as a special character.
-
yea, there are so many potential great ideas for accessories, they are fun to make too since they only take 2 or 3 hours give or take to make.
-
Sweet stuff, i love em

-
Wow, I'm loving those head options. This is shaping up nicely.

Here are some ideas for some helmets if you need any

there are literally a million cool ones you could make. Some ones I have slated:
* big military general hat like this: http://www.thepeoplescube.com/images/So ... al_Hat.jpg
* full metal jacket style soldier helmet with flowers/peace sign
* old school big metal dive helmet
* some cutsey animal style ones like this: http://slog.thestranger.com/files/2007/ ... d_frog.jpg
frog, panda, etc
* jester hat
* knight helm
* tiki mask like this: http://www.rattanparadise.com/tikimask.jpg
really there is no plan though, I just sit down to do one and pick something that sounds good at the moment.
had a work session last night, we spent more time tweaking the vehicle physics model and actually got it driving around half way "kart-ish". Spent a good amount of time studying mario kart and trackmania for what to add next (acceleration curve, camera system ideas). Once we got the kart driving somewhat I realized the western level needs to be about 4 times as large as I had guessed to not feel cramped driving on it, so I have some work to do re-scaling a lot of props and the mine in particular to look appropriate at the new scale. I probably need to re-create a couple textures at a higher-resolution as well.
If work continues at a good pace I am thinking about starting some kind of development blog since there is a lot more going on besides WIP models.
-
textures in higher resolutions? why not give some work to your fellow mapcorians?

-
then what would I do!
-
sit back and watch "One tree hill" ?
