Cool, love the look of the Monk-zombie, looks like something out of Painkiller or Blood. Really looking forward to it

These are not done by (however initial cloth/body skin was by him) Teddy, he left us when went to Starbreeze. You can read it in the interview.

In the next update you will have chance to see some zombie skins/models done by me and Evoken.

    These are done by Makrill.

Great interview - very interesting to read.

One thing stands out to me though, you have a license to the source engine, but does that allow you to use CS:S textures and models?

Also, how much of the production time has been saved by using existing models/textures?

And that being the case - surely the game is going to look very similar to games we've all been playing for nearly 3 years?

Awwww Neil Manke still thinks he's relevant. That's cute.

Hey no need to be defensive buddy (pun intended), I was merely commenting that it's not a very new style that we're seeing - I'll be buying the game so don't worry, you're not going to put me off <_< I just think that it is very noticeable that the content is unchanged from hl2 and css; it's not like it's bad artwork, it's just very over-used. I feel your pain when it comes to remaking existing assets, trust me, it's a pain no matter what it's for.

But no need to get shitty with me.

Hmm...is he trying to be relevant? Or does he just like zombies...a lot?

Well, I know he loves zombies, almost as much as he loves repetitive zombie+crowbar gameplay. God forbid you give the player ammo or anything.

Yay for both having custom content and neil manke discussion dramas in one thread!

Personally I am not too fussed about lost souls, well actually I just don't really care. I have never been a big fan of zombie games and there does not seem to be much more than the usual zombie horror going on in this game.

Love zombie games, love zombie movies. In fact anything featuring zombies in any way is already sold as far as I am concerned.

Really looking forwards to the mod
