Hawker Hurricane MK1

    while working in the cellar i found an old untouched model kit + all of my old painting colors (2 boxes full). the prices were still in good ol' Deutsch Mark

    i will post my work in progress in this thread. this kind of making models is so cool. much fast than maya and max

    maybe i will make the same model in maya after this because then i have perfect 3d reference in front of me.

    usually we call that unfinished. i think this is a wip forum and i still didnt paint everything + have to wait until the color is dry.

    i agree with peris ..... and up your normal map a bit to bring out those details and Wtf is up with your lighting ..... 1 big lightsource?! shame on you hessi!

    heres a thread on polycount which shows how you can push those models a lot further.. be creative with your 'texturing'

    i'd say its a nice start.. now take it to the next level and customize it!

    i saw this tank at polycount after i posted here. i feel ashamed

    actually i am not so pro in this modelling so this small piece will only be used as a reference for some maya model then (i think)

    looks like an FW-190?

    ...and Hessi that is Old Skool! looks great though, amazing your paints were not all solid.

    ....wonder how many mappers/modelers here were plastic modelers/diorama builders back in the day -- ahhh, the smell of testors glue!

    ..and Hessi, no comments on my dod_Rouen post? was hoping you would rip it apart, but must have not been worth the effort?

    i dont want to start fucking with you but the screenshots were pretty early to give serious critic. either a map layout (a bsp/overview) would be nice, but those screenshots were just too empty. i am sure with some more effort this could turn out good.
