litle something I did while I was in between jobs

its not a huge map kinda "big" room style dm with hallways and stairs on either side to get topside or extra goodies I guess 8-12 gents Max

layout is done, general detail is done

    left to do:

    -playerspawns

-few lighting/lightmap tweaks and get rid of some darkness

    -few detail trims and pipes

Subtle lighting techniques - I like

Good use of limited HL2 content - Nice

Cool big open main room - Pretty sweet

Walkways for added vertical game play - Fuckin sweet

Over exposed lights on certain walls and in the hallways - Bad - Use light_spots if necessary.

Over all I really like it, but one thing that bothers me is the concrete with metal on one side and no trim, like the metal is painted onto the concrete, give those areas some trim and you will be good to go. BTW, whats the FPS in that main room?

Nice stuff, looks pretty solid. I agree that the overexposed lights need work though.

Looking nice there. Can't say anything what haven't been said already, except the spray in the last shot, paint has drained.. how?

    thanks for the comments sofar

ill fix the lighting "blasts" and add some trims were fps preformance allows good comments

ill fix the nitpicky grafiti things aswell good calls

fps is solid on my box should work like a charm for the intended amount of players, though im sure if you stuff 30 or so players in there its bound to lag with all the flying objects and rockets

    everything is stock hl2

    while im at it

anyone know any good dm type of mod I could donate this to? i dont really like hl2dm I just love using source engine hehehe

Black Mesa source ? Though this map is not really HL1 themed they could make use of a good and new DM map. Who knows. There aren't many good mods out

No thanks, we only use our own home made goods.

And if you were to make this into a BM themed map when we release, I think it would be kind of hard because of all the hl2 content specific stuff you have created.

Phew can't find anything to critic, it's just a perfect use of the HL2 ressources. So sorry to just say that it is awesome

If you can keep the FPS up in that 1 huge room, you got a winner. Use the side tunnels to get up higher and put the most powerful weapons right smack in the middle.
