i finally sat down and watched the entire "the good the bad and the ugly" i can honestly say that the shoot out scene in the very end ranks among the top action movie moments for me....up there with various indiana jones scenes and what not

Best would be 'Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' and 'Big Fish'.

Loved both of them, big fish is according to me burtons best movie up to date.

The worst movies I have seen in a long time would be S.W.A.T. and scary movie 2, never saw the third.

    "The village" is trash? :-?

A pitty, it looked quite promising.

Last movie I saw was "Riddick" which was pretty good in my eyes.

Whatever... it's a matter of opinion.

I think that over half of the ppl that see it are not going to like it. Only a few do get Shyamalan's movie making style.

Some say that Signs was a horrible movie 'cause the story was naive or silly. That doesn't make the acting any worse or the directing any less artistic and unique. People kind of forgot the real point of the movie as they got distracted by the alien stuff, which is not what the movie is really about.

The Sixth Sense is a exception because it's not that challenging. Don't get me wrong, it's still a GREAT movie... one of my favorites I might add.

thats what i hated, i liked the alien part, people preparing for an invasion. I HATED that in teh end you realise the sign were signs of god himself, and that he wants to show us that god gives us signs all the time. totally wasted the movie for me

    That was the genius part.

It's the same with The Village. Most people totally missed the whole underlying meaning of the movie. It's not about spooky monsters in the woods, but about the fact that you can control people with fear. I think it was M. Night's statement about the state of American society today. That's what I saw anyway. And I loved it.

The between-the-lines message is why I like M. Night's movies. The fact that his directing technique and camera work is just simply beautiful is an added plus.

Yes, the spielberg movie. It bored me to death. It was so slow going.

Also the whole movie is explained on the back cover of the DVD and kind of ruins the plot on how you never find out who the truck driver is.

dont get me wrong - the village was a good concept, and a good movie (even if some of the actors were very b grade), but the ads made it look like a village that was under attack by some creatures, and that this is what the movie revolved around. it made it look like a thriller movie, and it wasn't.

if i had seen it without seeing any trailers, and not expecting a thriller movie - i would probably have enjoyed it more.
