Oh, on a more serious note; does anyone know if Rockstar have sold their rendering engine to anyone? Or offered to? San Andreas is so unbelieveably cool due to its non-loading-time nature, and I have a game in my head that demands the same capability to make it truely worthwhile.

Not that I have enough money to buy it if it were for sale...but still.

They all used Renderware if I recall correctly. It's a fairly well known engine.

i think everyone can agree that gta is desperate for a new engine while the gameplay is top notch. it would be neat to have things more interactive, allow more customization and maybe more possessions/monetary system/things to buy, but even if the game stayed relatively the same it would still be a killer. i wish they did new york again and made it real.

I don't like gta. Car jacking isn't something I'm interested in.

Just saw it, not terribly impressed tbh. But then again, know no details on the actual game. Looks pretty detailed though, if its on a nice big scale it should be sweet
