i set it to download before i went to school, first thing im gonna do when i get home
Ah yas, got it downloading now. Now expecting much from it though.
Demo out? I need to check that, had a lot of fun with the previous C&C games. Maybe I should try Generals first though.
eh I wasn't much of a fan of Generals but just about every other one there was.
Graphics are pretty decent this time around, only weird thing I saw was these pixelated shadows.. even when i pushed shadow detail all the way up...
you only get to play as GDI and a couple of missions but I had a good time with it. lol the live action scenes are good too ![]()
supreme commander < rise of legends < cnc3 demo !!! buy on release day i say ![]()

zacker you really should play generals or more specifically zero hour its the only rts game in existence that id say can hold a candle to to starcraft or maybe even surpass it !
Aye, its funny how many people didn't like Generals. Its probably the C&C game I've had the best times with (especially in MP), and I used to be a huge C&C1+RA fan so there you go
.
But mebbe it might be the lack of FMV and story and its more arcadey feel that pushed some people away. It did however look and feel quite kickass ![]()
People dont like Generels because it barely deserves the CnC name what with the worker units (gasp) and campy current events setting. It should of been a campy alternate history or future ![]()

Well I did try to get generals running on my machine, but it kept crashing for some unknown reason(yes my comp should be able to handle it). So my bro installed it on his computer instead and it did not really seem to be any fun there, even when working.

That's certainly somewhat of a statement there considering the fantastic gameplay in Starcraft.
Everything seems to be pretty well done in the game, from the visuals to the interface, which goes back to the original C&C layout. Plus the FMV's are back which is always cool, but I got a Generals vibe when I started to play it that sort of put me off.
Seems like a decent enough RTS but after Company of Heroes it feels a bit dated as far as gameplay goes.
Downloading the demo but I'm addicted to SupCom already ![]()

I'd say that was a part of it.. I myself didn't really give it much of a chance because it was like fate was not letting me play it.. (i got it but my comp at the time couldnt handle it, later when it could i left a cd in my bros laptop and he went to VA... years later i kinda lost interest in wanting to play it)
I did play it a few times on a friends computer.. actually I think it was vivi's comp but it didn't feel like CnC, it was pretty cool as a game itself though.
ok now back to playin the CnC 3 demo ![]()
Awesome Demo. Cannot wait to play the campaign. I just wish I had a computer and monitor worthy enough to play this on to enjoy it to the max. ![]()
i get super slow download speeds everywhere
yeah so red alert 1 and 2 were like the best games ever. i hateted generals severely. this new one is pretty tits, my only complaint is that it's kind of hard to differentiate between units and stuff like that. plus its 12 and a half whores to scroll to the right when you have a second monitor. anywho, it's pretty fun and i'm liking some of the new units. (giant mechs that can use mortar strikes and deployable giant ass defence turrets ftw). i don't think any c&c game will ever top RA2 though. ra1 is a close second because of it's awesome atmosphere and such
Bic-B@ll is to be quoted for truth... i was about to post the exact same things
yeah it is kinda hard to differentiate between units... I keep losing where my commando is. I'm not used to the 360 turn around thing and I get kinda lost when I do it too so I won't use that all that much either.
Yeah red alert was my favorite game for years and red alert 2 was just a continuation of the affair... lotta people liked Tiberian Sun but that was ehhh to me cause of the graphics they used and the atmosphere it had.
loving the 'Rig' portable badass turret and the Zone trooper/Commando jet packs too.
When this comes online I think I'll disappear from society for a while. ![]()
we'd both know
i just fired up the game again and played a few skirmishes. two this: easy is really easy, medium is very hard, and hard is like the other games, ridiculous. there should not be such a gap between easy and medium. a gigantic problem i'm have is that i fill buildings with rocket soldiers and the nod get these flame thrower guys. they hit the building once and everyone inside dies and flies out the window. funny, but that has to be a bug or something. i situate every building in the middle of the map and every soldier is killed in 4 seconds.
i think c&c should implement a new feature where you can prebuild a base. you get 50k cash and you can build structure in the usual order. by being able to place structure in good spots in the right orientation it would make the game better against AI especially because they can build buildings with no gap in time between. it would level the playing field a bit and i think make a skirmish more enjoyable. nothing like building a war factory and having 56 mechs run into your base.
