It's such an awesome feeling reading about someone else playing your game.

Ya I saw the trailer back at gametrailers.
Since I'am a fan of COD this was great news------
(looked even better then COD imo) but I'm alittle tired of WW2 games. Why not do a new BLACK or a game with city/office enviroments, its funnier then walking in the desert)
....Back to the game, The name is kinda cheesy and the trailer with the "ONE MAN, ONE DESTINY..." crap, but that hasen't anything to do with the game
Oh well I haven´t got mutch to say since I dont know anything about the game...good luck with it Lee, looks sweet and im a potentional buyer.
looks frantic!
Congrattttttttts =)
but why is every WW2 game named after the same schema?
Day of Defeat
Hour of Victory
Medal of Honour
Men of Valor
Call of Duty
only BiA didnt follow the "something" "something" routine...

i was point this out.
thief of unpointed out things! ~
company of heroes.
looks really nice, lee ;D
haha sweet man . congrats
!
We should make a World War 2 game name generator based on this excellent observation.
Brotherhood of Fire
Obliteration of Peace
Direction of Rifle
Mutiny of Germany
Era of Heroes
Movement of Treads
Endurance of Massacre
Sons of Hitler
I might be being really thick here but I can't actually see the naming pattern in those names KFS, other than having three words I guess but that's not as significant as them all having "of" in the title. ![]()
wait, what?
Ham and Jam ![]()
One of the reasons we named it like that was because we were annoyed with the format of WW2 game names.
i.e. like Klein said.
As Klein pointed out KFS, loads of WW2 games follow the format " of ". I was saying I couldn't see a comparable pattern in the film names Lee mentioned, whose name I got mixed up with yours due to having four threads open at once.
 ![]()
I got the pattern and assumed you meant Lee, but couldn't resist dropping in to mark the slip ![]()

You're asking developers making WW2 games to try something different? ![]()
If the name changin is such a problem I haveanother suggestion, why not let us play like Nazis for once? I really liked the part in MOH:AA when you stole a costume and got close to the nazis. Playing like killers, murders, pshycos, hitmen isnt any problem in other games so why not alittle nazi action?
I don't recall seeing Hitler in one game (exeption for posters and Wolf 3d) and I think you all can agree that the nazi phenomen was/is quite exiting
*Feel sorry for breaking Lee's thread, Lee if you guys need beta tester you know were to find me

Sorry if this is going to kick-start a trite country argument, but it’s simply because your average American who these games are aimed at would not like playing as the Nazis and it would not sell. Hello to you, U-571.
If you were to make a game or film from the Nazi perspective it would have a lot of potential to be interesting, even if you bottled out and made it about a good Nazi that hated Hitler, was just following orders and had some kind of resolve at the end. But you guarantee yourself bad sales in America and an outright ban in Germany. Why take that risk when you can knock out another generic WW2 game?

..what? Display of swastikas is forbidden in Germany, but there is no "Don't talk about the war!!" law.
There are a lot of German made movies about World War II and the Nazis.
