Wow, thank you all very much for all the support, I'm a bit moved :') Any of you have any tips for the interview? Should I bring something besides grades and letters of recommendation (and cookies of course)? I was thinking about bringing some picture samples to showcase my techniques (I guess they will ask about it, so pictures could be good to help me explain), might that be too much? Maybe I should just bring myself and a smile on my face

Any kind of visual job wants a portfolio available. My solution was to do a very simple website portfolio that'd probably work fine in the most shit web browser in history, and then copy it onto a DVD and keep it in my pocket. During my interview they just asked for the portfolio URL and did it on a computer, but I had the backup just in case.

Of course if there's no computer handy you're a bit fucked, but my interview was for web design so it was a safe bet. Perhaps you'd be best off printing everything in the portfolio too. For the ultra professional look, take a laptop with your portfolio on it.

Yeah, when I went to my University interview I had a hardcopy with everything printed out at A4-A3 size, plus the URL of my portfolio and backup of it on CD.

The internet was out when my turn came so that CD saved the day.

    I'm home now

It was a wonderful city and a wonderful office. After having met everyone at the office it was time for the interview. There were four guys interviewing me and I felt very comfortable with them so the nervousity faded pretty quickly. We talked for about an hour or so and I gave it my best shot and answered all questions very honestly. Then one of them spoke to me in private and looked over some additional work I had brought with me plus my grades and references. Before we said good by he shook my hand he said "This was very interesting... it was very interesting meeting you. We will get back to you early next week" so I felt good about that Then I explored the town and ate one hell of a fancy meal to end the experience with dignity

    This is awesome news man!

I really hope you get the job, but either way: you're too talented not to get hired by some fancy gamestudio!

Good you enjoyed the trip too!
