Maybe its me, but I got a massive sense of deja vu when scrolling through it all briefly. It all seemed to be the same

    Any newer stuff than HL1?

    Quote from Rick_D

    That'll be the subways ;D

Seriously though, If you actually look through the stuff instead of scrolling, you'll see that there's a lot of variation!

No, I don't have anything past HL1, nothing has interested me enough to make the move, not even Source, perhaps one day...

wtf d3 has maps!I loooooove that ss2 styled stuff you had going man, seriously nostalgia trip when I looked at those. Might have to go find my ss2 cd now.

Doooo it, I think I'll be doing the same as well, I fucking love SS2

Haha, they were only infamous because people were like 'wtf is that bird supposed to be?' I personally loved them, they add to the comedy factor along with the generic quack sound when you gibbed them

Thanks to whoever moved this to the correct forum, I honestly didn't think about sticking it in here.. *tsk*

Thanks for the comments guys, keep em coming!

HAHA you might notice a striking resemblance between the duck model and the vulture model from Lasalas' de_maresa... Hmm duck, vulture, they're both birds! I'll just throw a new skin on it

Good read, some interesting stuff there. A little like me though, so many ideas for maps and mods to work on and then end up dying out of failure/interest. I'm missing quite a lot of stuff myself of old projects. Didn't do anything for Duke then? Either way, somethings there were quite inspiring.

D3ads I can't understand why you stopped mapping. Your work on The Forgotten was top notch. Despite all the mocking we did with the "i got a letter this morning etc" quote, I was really looking forward to seeing where you would take it. Look at this: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-forgotten ... t#imagebox

That looks so much better than all those weird russian mods like Paranoia that you like so much. The textures have personality, the attention to detail is incredible and the mood is really well settled.

I know life has been hard on you lately but it's still not late to pull yourself together and catch up with the tech. If you hadn't abandoned mapping altogether you would undoubtedly be working on a triple A studio right now.

    gogogo d3ads!!

Wow, my first read of the topic, and a lot of those shots look really cool. I'm agreeing with everyone else here and saying you should get back at it!
