    Why are they producing level concept art if the game is going to be composed of a large amount of community content?

    The whole art style must be set for textures, props and other environment things. Therefor concept art is quite crucial.

    Understandable, i was trying to mean that 5% or less of past time level designers would even know what to do with a concept in terms of making a level from it - but i overlooked the need to make the environment assets from it as well.
