I'm browsing CNN and theres a flash pop-up for gearbox software using dells to create their games. Curiously, I clicked the link and there were also other employees and what they do for the company.

Yeah well this Dell deal is handled in a pretty sleazy way. Questions like "What did you spend your annual bonus on?" were for example only displayed for the employes who identically answered "DELL Ultrasharp 24'' TFT 10024i1084012840812x PiXMA blabalala"... things like that annoy me.

Yes, no doubt about it, but the fact that the people who didn't buy one got this part of the interview cut is what irritates me.
It was just a sampling of Gearbox, most of us have 24" at home, so they just picked who they wanted for the shots, representing almost every department in the company.

They should have gotten one of the texture artists to do the namesign thing, it looks like shit.

yeah, i'd get that 30" if i had the money.The thirty inch is actually shit. It doesn't come with the variety of inputs that the 24 inch does (thus no hooking up your dvd player or consoles). It doesn't have the card reader. And it's dual-DVI, so you're gonna need a card to support it. The 24 (while smaller) is still ridiculously big and has so many wonderful features that it's totally worth the $750 price point. You're basicaly getting a monitor and a TV.
Now if I have a card with dual-dvi out and don't use any of the other options, would it be a wise investment?

My cousin has a dual DVI out Nvida card of some kind, but he runs it on his MacPro (he's film/video editor). And he uses it to power dual Dell 20" flatscreens. He got them both for about $360 each from Dell. I think they are the same basic screen as the Apple 20" cinema display.
I think I may be upgrading to some Dell widescreens soon.
Anyway, my current ATI card is 1 DVI, 1 analog output but the analog as my secondary monitor is like looking at a bucket of puke compared to the digital.
So get a dual dvi imho.
