Battlefield 2142 is like 2 different things..

    Well I bought battlefield 2142 today.

    And I installed it later on my pc like allways..

    But when I tried to play the game I couldn't play and have fun.. do because the maps been some really weird. They was small sized, shrinked and very gloomy foggy darky atmospheric.

    I am very dissapointed about the game now. It's like you got battlefield 2 and battlefield 2142 but it's like 2 different games.

    Dice putted up to high ribbon that they couldn't jump over, then why set up high ribbons if you can't do a good game.

    It's like i spent 50$ on this game because of 10 new maps, some new cool weapon arsenal and the titan mode..

    It really failed this time with battlefield and me personally i'm going to play more battlefield2..

    What if Dice released the bf2142 as another great expansion pack for battlefield would do alot more to the public and the players out there..

    I dont get why it is wrong forum? I checked all forums to see where it could fit but i found this to be the best. But i'll check again though. And Dodger/Nexus (would be cool with just one nick, is your nick Dodger from now on or what?) couldn't you find that out in some game review or from people here before you bought it? I'm just saying i would never go out and buy a game without founding out all i can about it first and/or play a demo etc. They are way to expensive to just throw the money in the lake.

    From what I saw and tried in the demo then I could already see that BF2 had everything I wanted, and this was just fluffy filler. I think almost everybody agrees that this should've been released as an addon :G

    I think its a great game, much betterthen the last 2. So much atmosphere. Great choke points. I have a good group of friends to play it with too, which may make a big differnce. Bf games by yourself get kinda boring.

    I played the demo but dont like the setting. i have one or two nice ideas for a level but there will be other cool games in this semi-scifi setting (looks at ET:QW).

    i cant makre sure what i dont like. i just had no fun like in bf2.

    but im sure this new "bad company" game from dice will rock.

    I played a couple of rounds yesterday and I must say I quite enjoyed it. It definitely is no quantum leap forward but the futuristic setting gave DICE the opportunity to add some interesting new weapons, gadgets and vehicles. The rank system seems to work nicely again plus all the stuff to equip your soldier with.

    I am not sure what to think of the Titan mode yet, I still like to play the flag gamemodes too. Not sure if the game is worth the full price, but it's fun nonetheless.

    Small thing but it struck me: The place for the friends list felt very well placed to me, no external buddy list or anything. It's right there in the game menu, not hidden, you see who is online all the time and can easily join up.

    Yeah I agree its fun but it sucks to escape the titan in the end.

    Titan mode is a lot of fun (and you can gain a lot of XP playing it), but it's laggy as all hell. Part of the problem is the Titans are pilotable by the commander, meaning the inside play space is constantly moving, meaning all those turrets, shields, and players are constantly being refreshed by the server. Hopefully they'll patch it to account for the lag. I'm still having fun with the game, and I find the new XP system really compliments teamplay behaviors, which I appreciate. If you want to lone wolf it, you can still end up with 20 points a round, but if you guard points, resupply teammates, provide cover fire, and work as a squad, you can end each round with 50-100 points and level up extremely fast.

    Oh, and the buddy system works flawlessly. Valve should be feeling a lot of shame right now that they can't get theirs to work.

    Valve released Lost coast, Splash Damage/ID did Enemy Territory and Monolith F.E.A.R mp and all was FREE. They didnt loose to much money on that afaik. Maybe direct money is the only interest for you, but let me give you an advice: Positive feedback from mouth to mouth can be as rewarding as money in the long run.

    They will do that right after they fix the bugs in thier game called BF2, you know the game that was released 1 year ago.
