it looks like a plastic doll atm

I kinda get what ginger is saying... maybe its the smoothness of it atm. It's kinda giving him the body of an assassin or something lol

    still looking good.

When I think Orc, I'm picturing a low tech grunt, clothes fashioned from rubbish, bad pointy teeth, piercings, face paint and of course, green skin.

    Much like these fellows:

Maybe Warhammer has got to me too much.

yeah that low tech aspect is almost synonymous with an orc. but you havent finished the armor or anything so you could still put stuff like that in.

I think it looks goblin-ish in its build to its body... the orcs seem a bit more muscular or just bigger around the waist/chest/arms etc... course you still have to add some more armor stuff.

I was about to say exactly the same thing..

I'm just coming back from watching the lord of the rings, and the ugly bastards in the film looks really more.. uh.. ugly and strong.

But well.. the lord of the ring is not a reference.

you're right, they are more built. I think they'r emore built then you think, howevber the shots may not present them that way.

I'll keep working, but the texture will help a lot in this matter.

Other then a solid color to color code areas for myself, no work has been done on the color map. Everything is all the bump. There is no specular map yet as I havn't gotten to it. Later tonight I'll have the bump/color/spec done and I'll start work on the fur and hair. After that its just chain mail and rigging it!
