Big highway ones, those crazy green things that say "Highway A. 500m" and some speed limit ones, and maybe some nice roads. Heck anything to do with highways/roads, I'm sure i could find a use one way or another.

It's for a fairly quicky map I'm making. Also anyone who has car texes/prefabs or better yet models hanging around and would like to donate to my cause I would also appreciate that.

    Thanks... *runs*

Make the map, then request models and such.

I do not want to use my spare time on something that won't be used.

It's Slapshot, you should make it on principle alone.

/me makes a mental note to kill

Bah! It will be used, but it's such a basic 3(or 2.5) routes to the bombsites de_ map. Nothing revolutionary, I just wanted to give it some artistic flair.

    /me stabs curman

    Thanks for the effort though

It's actually quite sad. I don't even know why we have requests. No one gives to ***** anyways. Sorry Slapshot, but it's sad that no one really helps out in these requests.

I think it's fair for people wanting to see evidence of a map before deciding to freely spend their time on some textures. If I had any kind of talent, I would probably be asking for the same thing before committing to anything.

    Nice bumpage.

Anyhow, CJ's right. Textures take a fair while, so it's only right that you should see where they're going to end up.

I'm not sure why he was asking for road signs anyway, it's hardly a difficult texture to make. I'd say even a beginner (like my good self) could knock out a respectable effort in 20 minutes using Google image search, GIMP and Wally.

Yeah, i've got GIMP as well. There is something to be said about seeing the map first. But by taking all these comments it seems decided that.

    It doesn't take much time.

Neither too much effort (maybe some time if it's going to look sex).

So then that means, why not just make it for the guy? If it's take little time, even for a n00b, then a prof. should pull it off quite quickly. Also, as Tayl0r said, this is Slapshot, give him some credit. I can see what you guys are saying, but for those of us who have been around a bit, I still think it's pretty weak. BTW, I don't think i'd pull off a road sign very well and i've been hella busy.

So you think the profs who make requested textures and other content for games all day should make textures for other people after work as well? :-?

If you can't do it because you don't have the skills or even "don't have the time", then you don't really have reason to accuse others.

Since this has been conveniently bumped (mind you a month ago) I'll bump it again.

Would that cut it as proof of a map? ALSO there was someone with a beautiful stop light model, I asked, but never got a reply, and couldnt seem to find the post.

I'll be throwing the map in thw WIP section soon, just wanted to sort out major things before let you guys tear it to shreds.

Models.. maybe, but that would be murderous for the epoly, and there go my vis blockers. Higher poly, well I'm already pushing it, but in a few days I'll give you a better chance to rip it apart.
