    So either this is a very daring marketing stunt or this is a REALLY bad day for Ubi Soft

    Basically tons of concept art and screenshots of yet to be announced projects have been leaked on the web. Any information on how this could happen?

    EEK! Bummer for Ubi :G

    None of those surprise me though, apart from Prince of Persia 4, I thought they said it would only be a trilogy

    Bad news

    On the topic of the actual games - not much in the way of surprises really. I had assumed Assassin's Creed was the spiritual successor to PoP since it was meant to be a trilogy, so it is a surprise to see a new one up there, but everything else was pretty much expected. I'm UBER sceptical about the Lost game - heard mention of it the other day and I really wish they'd just leave it be as a great TV series. I think there's a lot of potential in a game using a similar scenario to Lost. I think there's zero potential in a game based on Lost.

    yes seeing pop 4 on that list and later today the concept art really made me happy =)

    i totaly buy into the marketing stunt theory and i could totaly see the people deciding on it not to tell their employees and te legal department ^^ becasue i dont see how this could possibly hurt any kind of sells i was allready thinkign stuff like " iam becoming a franchise whore maybe i should stop buying splinter cell games but than i saw that concept art today and said to myself "fuck that i MUST have this game ^^ "

    (bajo smiley will get a copy too he said)

    Doesnt surprise me one bit.. It totally set it up for another sequel at the end of the 3rd one.

    Either this sucks or it is meant to look like this sucks and all these games get some press and hype and whatnot.

    Seems like a win-win for us out here anyway. Surely wont hurt Ubisoft I think.

    While it sucks, I can't wait for most of those games to come out. They sound badass (Splinter Cell 5!!!)

    actually i dont like sequels. it doesnt bring that much innovation to a game. i prefer games like loco roco that bring up some new gameplay features.

    okay i play dod:s which is a sequel to dod, but that's an exception.

    this splinter cell is like all those command and conquer, monkey island, need for speed sequel stuff. you get better graphics, more detailed models and textures, but the game does not change.

    a lot of people give a damn about that (especially those who are not envolved in gamedev)

    my opinion to tha tubisoft leak story: is it that surprising that ubisoft keeps on producing the 10th farcry, the 20th rainbow six and the 55th splinter cell? i dont think so. games to movies like LOST often dont reach the original quality.

    i don't want to say that those games are crap, but they are not that "important" to me.

    greetings

    Argh!

    I don't know how you dare list that with the others.

    While there are 4 Monkey Island games, they are over 10 years or so, unlike Splinter Cell especially which has had 4 in oh, 3 years?

    Yes each game had its own technological improvement (especially between 2 and 3, but they had several years between them, but it's not mindlessly adding bloom and extra shaders) they do more than enough to differentiate between each other.

    This was originally a more angry rant, but I hope I'll be less annoyed later and can respond further.

    if you read my post again: i did not say that those games are crap. they are just the same or pretty much the same. i would call monkey island on of the best game series ever made, but in the same way i have to say that monkey island did not change that much. it got actually no differences in

    1 -> 2 except the icons

    2 -> 3 "high" res, speech

    3 -> 4 3D

    the rest is monkey island story. the game itself is pretty much the same. you always had those "sword battle" fakes. you always went to monkey island.

    if you ask me "did you enjoy playing them" i'd answer "yes"

    if you ask me "would you call it innovative" i'd answer "no"

    pretty simple.
