yeah it was a load of shit FIVE YEARS AGO.Seriously wtf do you expect? Everyone at that time was using dust textures and made shitty maps... so we did something different and people paid attention. The fact the map wasn't any good was not my fault.

    I will soooo kill you

    Yup ~

Its funny when I try to think back on the first time i joined #mapcore I just cant remember it, but back then I was like a total nub, I could barely speak english (okay I could, but I was still kinda nubish, so I guess it isnt that strange). I would probably never have guess that I would end up spending years in that cursed channel

Its just funny to see how many of us have grown up with mapcore, and especially since more and more people from it gets gaming biz jobs then it does remind you that it is something special, something that we probably shouldnt take for granted and that it will probably be something that we will always look back on, i know I will (mainly on engineer and hello.jpg, of course)

But I mean, are there any other leveldesign communities that have hung around for as long and as hard as mapcore? As far as I know then we're one of a kind.

    /me flipflops back to work

Oh and I remember the first time I joined #mapcore, I was saying something like de_aztec sucks and then it turned into a big discussion. lol
