    One thing bothers me about this game. The soldiers seem to be able to walk faster than bullets. Look at them storming omaha beach.... ridiculous.

    Hahahaha I'm not laughing at them moving quicker than the bullets by the way - I've just never heard somebody say the word "shingle" so frequently before

    I agree. I think in the long run if all windows titles had this kind of standard packaging (making it similar in packaging standards for console games like 360, Xbox, PS2 etc) then we would get used to it and ignore it.

    Eh, reminds me of a 360 box, in a good way. If this actually becomes a standard in place of the everyone-do-their-own-thing standard of today, I'd have no problem with that. If it just adds another way for everyone to do their own thing, I'd be annoyed.

    oh, and I think that's the first time I've seen the game from the real top-down perspective... looks great Stupid low-angle screens and videos; why the hell would you do that for an RTS?

    I think the Windows branding is a good idea. Sure it'll obviously help highlight whether it's a console or PC game, but it'll also help for differentiating between Windows and OS X games and stuff, possibly even Linux, since sometimes telling the difference isn't the most intuitive thing ever. It's also kind of future proofing the system just in case OS X gaming ever takes off properly (a new graphics framework or some shit is said to make developing OS X-compatible games easier next year).

    it was never hard to differentiate between pc and OS X games because there are no OS X games on the shelves

    BiA in RTS style, seasoned with the good stuff from both Dawn of War and C&C Generals. sometimes it also felt a little like Sudden Strike when playing it. (The cannons and artillery fire).

    VERY nice game. I'm going to preorder this. (and i dont do that often, last game i preordered was hl2)

    edit;

    BUT: the first map (Omaha) is done to death, and it almost ruined it for me. especially the "cutscenes" with the camera angles from the boats and troops storming the beach while beeing ripped apart from gunfire and the camera angles from the machinegunners themselves.

    Its just getting too old, seen it soo many times in fps games :/

    Agreed, the Omaha level was pretty weak.

    Carentan after the first 15 minutes though, damn

    Quoted for truth. I find it quite incredible that you can work in the games industry and still be willing to pirate games. If you were grabbing ISOs of old Dreamcast or PS1 games you couldn't get ahold of elsewhere I'm sure people would understand, but brand new games? Thats just not right. I hope and trust that once those generous Gearbox paychecks start landing in your bank account those game torrents will be a thing of the past

    Damn.

    I gotta say I'm a little pissed at hearing this. I used to work closely with Relic when I was at THQ...prob been to their studio in Vancouver half a dozen times. I still see my friends in marketing and production at THQ fairly frequently, including the guys who work on CoH and to hear this after how much of their hearts they put into that game...

    at least don't go on this site talking about how ur playing it before it gets released. it gives the idea to newbies etc here that it's okay to pirate.

    EDIT: see below. Sorry if I came off heavy handed. I haven't bothered to try the SP beta cause I know I'm already getting a copy and I know it's good...

    anyway, still don't steal shit. kthxbai
