How many of you keep up with the show? I can't wait until Season 3. Let's create a large discussion of theories and whatnot. To kickstart, what do you guys think are going to happen to Jack, Kate, and Sawyer?

Same with me. I loved the 1st season, but I lost interest for

the show at around the 12th episode of season 2. Still haven't watched

    the whole 2nd season.

I watched the first season believing that there will be only 12 episodes or so and that i'll see the end, but when they spend almost 6 episodes to open a trap door, i gave up ..

i stopped watching it after realising its nothing but a soap opera in an extraordinary setting. Not worth my time

Same. Stopped watching early in season 2.

I've seen both series, really liked them.

The second one is really slow for the first half and I was also losing interest, but the second half really picks up. The whole hatch thing is pretty much completely resolved by the end and the finale (I thought they were going to drag it out for ages) is superb. Very climatic.

I love Lost but at times they tend to drag out on things more than the should, and there are ALOT of flashbacks. The whole series is still kinda mindboggling and i can't wait untill season 3.

Untill then i'll have to stick with stargate and the soon to start battlestar!

I have seen about every 5th episode in season 1 which has been enough to keep me wellinformed about what is happening. Got season 2 waiting for me to watch it and I am planning to start that one of the coming days.

Lost is nice but Prison Break is so much better. Prison Break = best series ever.

I'm still hooked on it, but I'll agree that the 2nd season almost lost me a couple of times, but the second half of season 2 got better~

I adore Lost, such a great show. I agree that the first half of season 2 was a bit slow, but the last few episodes in the series more than made up for it. I also enjoyed Prison Break but wouldn't say it was quite up to Lost standards. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the second season - its gonna be pretty far removed from the first by the sounds of things!

Really liked Prison Break in the beginning, but that entire side plot with the laywer chick is just so horrible. I actually started skipping those sections just to get to the stuff inside the prison.

Amazing when the people that make the show have no idea whats good about it.

So, you've missed one of the biggest plots in the whole series.

I love lost, its a really great show. The one thing I don't like is the fact that they can go weeks without showing a new episode, the fucking repeats . I also love prison break, one of my favorite shows. And for prison break fans, I found this while browsing imdb:

edit: oh, if you haven't watched the first season this has spoilers*

No, I know all that crap with the vice presidents brother and all, its just so slow and boring, and I dont really care if that Lincon dude is guilty or whoever framed him or whatever, I just wanna see some guys escape instead of some boring shit where some lawyer is finding clues or whatever.

Conspiracy theories are great and all, but they just totally missed it in my opinion. The thing that draws you in is the stuff happening in the prison, not outside.

Second season of Lost started off great, then quickly lost appeal because they spent so much time on characters that many mainstream watchers (of the millions and millions total around the world) just got bored.

The real hook of the show is the concept, the setting, the intertwined mystery, the story and not the characters. yes, I agree the characters are cool, but by mid season two it felt like the writers/producers etc were just toying with the audience, abusing us with these deep character explorations that just left us saying "ok that was nice but wtf is going on in the story and the island?"

But by late in season two it was as if the producers started to realize that and got back on track. The final episodes of Lost season 2 really kicked ass imho, but i really struggled to hang in there some weeks.

But here's the real deal...obviously Lost is a money making show for ABC, and they are going to try to milk it for as long as possible. I don't know how much of this I can take. I kinda want it to end after season 3 and just answer/resolve every myster, like perhaps Act 3 of an three act play/movie. (more likely, season 3 will be second half of Act 2 of Lost, then season 4 will be Act 3 series finale.)

I will be pissed of this show goes on for like 6 or 7 seasons. I think they should end on high note and just move on to the next great idea and stop abusing us with boring mid season episodes that make my fall asleep.

Well Izuno, according to Damon Lindelof (Co-creator and writer on the show) who's also on the Lost podcast, he said that he was sure that ABC will keep it on until ratings go down. His opinion on the matter was to end the show after the third or fourth season, but if Lost continues to have good ratings then it looks like it'll get watered out for sure.
