i think he always wanted to study?!?? though having a degree in something is a good to have in different life situations.

well there was more than just one reason why i moved on but the biggest reason really is my plan to go to uni. i wanted to do that even before i started at splash but i wasnt quite sure what direction to take and i was eager to get some hands-on experience.

i wouldnt say working fulltime on games didnt work out for me. this job got me some really nice offers but i figured if i dont go to uni now i will never do it and always regret the decision

You're doing the exact opposite of what i'm doing man. lol. I hope i'm not gonna starve to death in 10 years cause I can't pay for food because i didnt go to college. I keep telling myself like "yeaahh im gonna study in a few years from now...some day..." I'm looking at it from the perspective of "I'm young. I want to see more of the world while I still can", etc. etc. Once you're married and have a family and are tied down and stuff you can't really do that... So I hope I did the right thing doing what I'm doing, and I hope you did the right thing too

thats exactly whats giving me a hard time but still, i am quite confident with my decision

When I went off to Uni last year my mum got really interested in Uni stuff and did her Foundation Diploma and Art and Design (essentially a do everything in a year to find your specialisation) and next year starts her 3 year BA(Hons) Fine Art course.

Not bad for a fifty-something year old.

ok then i will make you feel worse

at my campus there are several 30+ years olds and my experience was that they all left after 6 motnhs or maybe 1 year. it was too hard for them to get back into the learning process. you should better hurry to get your ass into a uni. but maybe i am wrong and art related courses are less hard as my bachelor of science

Excactly the same thing here... They all did excellent in math and other subjects like it, except what the whole course was about. Programming. so they all dropped out after one year. I think older people have a harder time understand things that are completely new to them. But if you work in the games industry for 10 years, then decide to take an art diploma, my bet is that you'll Ace it

Stainless, is that the studio that made the Carmageddon games? One of my favourite developers (back in the day atleast).
