Both? Both are required to get the most out of modeling.

its funny cuz when i first came to IO i was constantly joking about how most of em use edit mesh, but now Ive been converted too D:!

but yah posteh, usually i also use both when im building stuff up, but when i strip everything (we have to strip stuff cuz the ps2 sax ;G) edit mesh is alot easier to work with, and in general i find myself in edit mesh more (its especially handy since u have to colapse ur stack to do a edit poly, where as u can just add edit mesh as a modifier)

    anyway, fllufflcack

    omg bump

edit mesh just has a dumb toolset thats missing a couple things and adds a few that can be done with other ones in poly

    so its useless!

Poly since you don't have to mircomanage the triangles when you cut a face.
